# Virals: Liverpool enquire over Juventus midfielder Dejan Kulusevski

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/07/30/virals-virgil-van-dijk-thanks-support-following-pre-season-comeback/)have reportedly enquired over the availability of Juventus midfielder [Dejan Kulusevski](https://readliverpoolfc.com/u) this summer.

The Reds are believed to face competition from [Premier League](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur for the 21-year-old starlet.

[Loaned to Parma](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dejan-kulusevski/transfers/spieler/431755) for the 2019/20 campaign, Kulusevski has enjoyed a rapid rise to prominence in the last 18 months – culminating in [two appearances](https://www.sofascore.com/player/dejan-kulusevski/928124) for Sweden in the recent European Championships.

According to [TuttoJuve](https://www.tuttojuve.com/esclusive-tj/tj-proposte-dalla-premier-per-kulusevski-la-juve-dice-no-566071), as cited by [Anfield Football](https://twitter.com/AnfieldFootball/status/1420772586338848775) on Twitter, Liverpool have made their interest known during the ongoing transfer window.

The report states that the Serie A giants are unwilling to sell as they view the [15-cap Swede](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dejan-kulusevski/nationalmannschaft/spieler/431755/verein_id/3557) as part of the long-term future.

Last season the versatile ace [scored seven and registered another seven assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dejan-kulusevski/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/431755) in 47 appearances across all competitions.

[Described](https://www.90min.com/posts/introducing-our-21-juventus-sweden-dejan-kulusevski) as a ‘great talent’ by Cristiano Ronaldo, Kulusevski netted [10 goals and added nine assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dejan-kulusevski/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/431755/plus/0/saison/2019/wettbewerb/IT1/verein/130) in just 36 Serie A outings in 2019/20.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Valued at £36million and under contract until 2025 in Turin ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dejan-kulusevski/marktwertverlauf/spieler/431755)), attempting to prise the Swede away financially would be a daunting task.

Capable of playing in [numerous midfield positions](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dejan-kulusevski/leistungsdaten/spieler/431755) both in an attacking and defensive sense, it’s clear to see why the Reds would be interested and why Juve would be reticent.

Credited with excellent [attacking attributes](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/355855/Show/Dejan-Kulusevski), Kulusevski would provide an additional dimension to the Liverpool midfield.
