# Virals: Liverpool ‘establish contacts’ for Villarreal ace Yeremy Pino

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/03/09/virals-liverpool-eye-aston-villa-star-douglas-luiz-as-midfield-successor/) have reportedly made contacts with Villarreal regarding highly-rated winger [Yeremy Pino](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/03/02/virals-liverpool-prepare-offer-for-villarreal-starlet-yeremy-pino/).

The Reds are one of a [number of clubs keen](https://www.fichajes.net/noticias/premier-league-no-olvida-yeremy-pino-20220301.html) on the 19-year-old as Newcastle United, Manchester City, Arsenal and Real Madrid all show an interest.

Already at the senior international level by Spain, Jurgen Klopp may be looking to emulate the [signing of Luis Diaz](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11669/12527169/luis-diaz-liverpool-sign-porto-winger-on-five-and-a-half-year-deal-for-initial-fee-of-37m) in order to provide further competition for places in the frontline.

According to a report from Spanish outlet [Eldesmarque](https://eldesmarque.com/madrid/real-madrid/noticias/239571-yeremy-pino-rompe-el-mercado-con-80-millones-de-euros-por-el-real-madrid), backing up recent [claims](https://twitter.com/Sport_Witness/status/1498659443936055299) elsewhere, the Anfield club have stepped up their early pursuit.

Valued at £27million and under contract in Spain until 2027 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/yeremy-pino/marktwertverlauf/spieler/568157)), it may take the entire €80million (£67million) release clause to land the teenager.

[Predominantly](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/yeremy-pino/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/568157) a right-winger, Pino could provide an initial understudy and perhaps long-term successor to Mohamed Salah.

Despite the lofty fee, the talented youngster is already showing superb signs of promise at the top level and a recent [four-goal haul](https://villarrealcf.es/en/news/item/33571-yeremy-four-goals-to-go-down-in-villarreal-history#:~:text=Yeremy%20Pino%20scored%20four%20goals,in%20the%202018%2F19%20campaign.) has only intensified the interest in the attacker.
