# Virals: Liverpool fans adore Trent Alexander-Arnold tweet

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/04/20/peter-crouch-rubbishes-calls-to-split-up-exhilarating-trio/) full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold endeared himself to supporters more than ever before on Tuesday night when the Scouser accompanied a blanket squad statement with an impassioned [six-word tweet](https://twitter.com/TrentAA/status/1384598444870938625) to stand with fans.

The entire squad sent out a well-constructed message to stand against the ill-advised Super League plans, that the club have [since pulled out](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/431956-liverpool-football-club-statement-20-april-2021) from.

Alexander-Arnold went one step further after posting and added: ”For the fans. For the city.”

The 22-year-old [West Derby-born sensation](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/trent-alexander-arnold/profil/spieler/314353)has embodied the feelings of the fans superbly and with it gave Kopites hope that the values they hold dear remain within the squad.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Jordan Henderson was also at the forefront of the action, both for Liverpool and league-wide as the currently sidelined midfielder called a [meeting](https://talksport.com/football/868644/liverpool-jordan-henderson-emergency-meeting-man-united-marcus-rashford-european-super-league/) between the 20 top-flight captains.

Liverpool fans [unified early this week](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-fsg-european-super-league-20417615) when the Reds were named as one of [12 clubs involved](https://www.theguardian.com/football/live/2021/apr/20/european-super-league-backlash-builds-against-breakaway-plan-live) in the breakaway competition, adorning banners at Anfield airing their displeasure at the proposals.

Whilst the newly-proposed debacle that was the Super League looks to be over before it even got off the ground, ownership group [FSG](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/04/20/jamie-carragher-warns-fsg-of-the-impact-if-klopp-left-amid-european-super-league-news/) have plenty of questions left to answer and these wounds won’t heal easily
