# Virals: Liverpool have Aguibou Camara ‘on their radar’

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/10/08/virals-liverpool-reportedly-scout-usa-wonderkid-reed-baker-whiting/) have reportedly placed Olympiacos attacking midfielder Aguibou Camara ‘on their radar’ following a scouting mission.

The 20-year-old has made a [superb start](https://www.sofascore.com/player/aguibou-camara/906062) to the Super League season in Greece and recently earned international recognition alongside Naby Keita.

Recent [reports](https://www.sportime.gr/podosfairo/olimpiakos/olimpiakos-apokalipsi-i-liverpoul-skanari-ton-agkimpou-kamara/) have claimed that the Reds are keeping tabs on the Guinean ace and have been suitably impressed by their findings.

Now a fresh report from [CBS Sports](https://www.cbssports.com/soccer/news/liverpool-transfer-news-aguibou-camara-on-the-radar-after-olympiacos-star-impresses-jurgen-klopps-scouts/), as cited by [James Benge](https://twitter.com/jamesbenge) on Twitter, has backed up those claims.

This report states that Liverpool had scouts watching Olympiacos’ 3-0 win over Fenerbahce and are ‘expected to make more frequent trips’ to watch the [three-times capped](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aguibou-camara/nationalmannschaft/spieler/543529/verein_id/3856) Guinea ace.

So far this term Camara has [scored twice and provided one assist](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aguibou-camara/leistungsdaten/spieler/543529) from 10 appearances across all competitions.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Valued at just £270,000 and under contract in Greece until 2024 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aguibou-camara/marktwertverlauf/spieler/543529)), signing the Guinean would be a relatively inexpensive option.

Predominantly an attack-minded central midfield, Camara offers [wide-ranging versatility](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aguibou-camara/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/543529) and would be a huge boost to the options at Jurgen Klopp’s disposal.

Perhaps a player in a similar mould to [Curtis Jones](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/09/29/pundits-laud-performance-of-liverpool-youngster-curtis-jones/), the youngster would certainly add to the depth in the squad.

Given the volume of reports coming out, this certainly appears to be a deal with possibilities.
