# Virals: Liverpool have ‘knocked on the door’ for Federico Chiesa

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/07/14/virals-liverpool-target-donyell-malen-very-close-to-borussia-dortmund/) have reportedly ‘knocked on the door’ at Juventus in order to gauge whether a move for [Federico Chiesa](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2019/12/03/liverpool-interested-in-signing-fiorentina-star-chiesa/) would be viable this summer.

The Reds have been [credited with an interest](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1460981/Liverpool-transfer-news-77-million-Federico-Chiesa-Juventus-Italy-Euro-2020) in the 23-year-old previously and now are believed to have intimated a move alongside Bayern Munich.

Chiesa has put himself in the shop window somewhat as Italy won the European Championships, with [nobody more impressive](https://www.sofascore.com/player/federico-chiesa/845386) than the flying forward.

According to a report from Italian outlet [Calciomercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/bayern-e-liverpool-bussano-la-juve-risponde-chiesa-non-si-vende--14587), as cited by [LFC Transfer Room](https://twitter.com/LFCTransferRoom/status/1415228320153804801) on Twitter, both European giants have asked the question.

The report goes on to state that the [Serie A club](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/italian-serie-a/table) views Chiesa as ‘non-transferable’ and Liverpool will instead need to look elsewhere for a winger.

Currently [on loan at the Allianz Stadium from Fiorentina](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/54425259) on a two-year deal that will be made permanent next season as things stand.

Last season the son of Italy legend Enrico, scored [14 goals and registered another 10 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/federico-chiesa/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/341092) in 43 appearances across all competitions.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Recently [described](https://onefootball.com/en/news/udinese-great-di-natale-full-of-praise-for-juventus-attacker-chiesa-33338053) as ‘unpredictable’ by Antonio di Natale, the 31-cap Italy ace possess a host of attacking attributes that would’ve been of huge benefit to Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

Capable of [playing across various positions](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/federico-chiesa/leistungsdaten/spieler/341092), Chiesa is perhaps the ideal candidate to bolster the Reds.

However, given the mooted finances involved in signing the [£54million valued](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/federico-chiesa/marktwertverlauf/spieler/341092) man and Juventus’ stance, Liverpool may be best served looking elsewhere.
