# Virals: Liverpool have ‘prepared’ January bid for Villarreal ace Arnaut Danjuma

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/01/04/virals-liverpool-looking-to-trigger-release-clause-for-gavi/) have reportedly ‘prepared’ a January offer for Villarreal ace [Arnaut Danjuma](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/01/03/pundit-tips-brilliant-arnaut-danjuma-to-strengthen-liverpool-ranks/).

The Reds have been [heavily linked](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-major-update-on-liverpool-bid-to-sign-danjuma-in-january-as-price-tag-revealed/) with a move for the 24-year-old in recent months and could be set to try their luck in the mid-season window.

Following a £21.3million switch from AFC Bournemouth in the summer ([Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12385050/arnaut-danjuma-villarreal-sign-winger-from-bournemouth-in-21-3m-deal)), Danjuma has become a key part of Unai Emery’s side.

Now, according to the latest report from [Spanish publication *Fichajes*](https://www.fichajes.net/noticias/fichajes-liverpool-oferta-millonaria-preparan-danjuma-20220103.html), as cited by [Transfer News Live](https://twitter.com/DeadlineDayLive) on Twitter, the Anfield club could be ready to test the La Liga outfit’s resolve.

The report claims that Jurgen Klopp has developed a ‘wish’ to bring the [five-times capped](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arnaut-danjuma/nationalmannschaft/spieler/355861/verein_id/3379) Dutchman to Merseyside in order to ‘reinforce the attack’ at Anfield.

So far this season Danjuma has [scored nine times and provided three assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arnaut-danjuma/leistungsdaten/spieler/355861) in 18 appearances across all competitions.

Valued at £36million and under contract in Spain until 2026 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arnaut-danjuma/marktwertverlauf/spieler/355861)), signing the winger for the mooted €45million (£38million) would represent superb value for money.

Already a player with Premier League and Champions League experience, Danjuma looks to be a player on an [upwards trajectory](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arnaut-danjuma/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/355861) that could offer much-needed competition to Sadio Mane.

Possessing a [wide range](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/323625/Show/Arnaut-Danjuma) of exciting attacking attributes, albeit a long shot at this stage, Liverpool should do everything in their power to bring the Dutchman to Anfield this month.
