# Virals: Liverpool have ‘serious interest’ in Arnaut Danjuma

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/09/29/pundits-laud-performance-of-liverpool-youngster-curtis-jones/) reportedly hold a ‘serious interest’ in Villarreal winger [Arnaut Danjuma](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/08/03/virals-liverpool-named-among-clubs-interested-in-arnaut-danjuma/).

The Reds were initially [linked](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-transfers-danjuma-admission-wonderkid-21253904) with the 24-year-old ace during the summer whilst still an AFC Bournemouth player.

Despite earning a big-money £21.3million move to La Liga in August ([Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12385050/arnaut-danjuma-villarreal-sign-winger-from-bournemouth-in-21-3m-deal)), the Anfield club are believed to be pressing on with their scouting mission.

That’s according to a report from Dutch outlet [Voetbal International](https://www.vi.nl/nieuws/interesse-liverpool-geeft-man-utd-clash-voor-danjuma-extra-lading), as cited by [LFC Transfer Room](https://twitter.com/LFCTransferRoom/status/1442907832366501889) on Twitter.

The report claims that the Reds will send scouts to watch the [twice capped](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arnaut-danjuma/nationalmannschaft/spieler/355861/verein_id/3379) Holland international face arch-rivals Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League.

Viewed as a possible ‘successor’ to Sadio Mane, Danjuma has scored [three times](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arnaut-danjuma/leistungsdaten/spieler/355861) in six appearances this season – including a strike on a European debut against Atalanta.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Signing a player [without top-level European experience](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arnaut-danjuma/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/355861) always seemed an unlikely risk for the club to take on Danjuma.

However, having made an [impressive start](https://www.sofascore.com/player/arnaut-danjuma/827064) to life in Spain, the former Club Brugge starlet could be about to earn an even bigger transfer.

Immensely versatile and possessing a plethora of [key attacking attributes](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/323625/Show/Arnaut-Danjuma), Klopp’s interest should come as little surprise – albeit too soon to preempt a Mane replacement.

Valued at just £13.5million and under a new contract until 2026 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arnaut-danjuma/marktwertverlauf/spieler/355861)), Liverpool would be wise to act before that valuation increases yet further.
