Valued at £19.8million and currently under contract until 2025 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/cody-gakpo/marktwertverlauf/spieler/434675)), signing the Dutchman would be a superb piece of business from the Reds.

With Jurgen Klopp expected to bolster the attacking ranks in the near future, Gakpo’s [versatility to play across the frontline](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/cody-gakpo/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/434675) would be a shrewd move.

Possessing an abundance of [impressive attacking attributes](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/352825/Show/Cody-Gakpo) and predominantly operating from a left-wing role, the talented ace looks to have the capabilities of replacing Sadio Mane in the long term.

As the report suggests the move is ‘gaining momentum’ – Liverpool must be at the very forefront of the queue.
