# Virals: Liverpool ‘in contact’ with Juventus star Paulo Dybala

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/01/26/virals-liverpool-want-to-sign-palmeiras-wonderkid-endrick/) are reportedly ‘in contact’ with Juventus forward [Paulo Dybala](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/01/13/virals-liverpool-target-paulo-dybala-ready-to-hear-offers/) following a stall in contract negotiations in Italy.

The 28-year-old ace had been expected to sign a new deal to remain in Turin but [talks have recently broken down](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10402435/Manchester-United-Tottenham-red-alert-Paulo-Dybala-decides-NOT-renew-Juventus-contract.html#:~:text=Manchester%20United%20and%20Tottenham%20target,with%20clubs%20outside%20of%20Italy.) due to a change in offer.

Dybala’s current deal [expires at the end of the season](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/paulo-dybala/profil/spieler/206050) and the Reds are believed to be highly attentive to the fast-changing situation.

That’s according to a report from [TuttoMercatoWeb,](https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/serie-a/tmw-futuro-dybala-spunta-il-liverpool-tutto-passera-dal-summit-con-la-juve-di-febbraio-1638290)as cited by [Tancredi Palmeri](https://twitter.com/tancredipalmeri) on Twitter.

The report claims that the Anfield club are ‘carefully observing’ the [31-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/paulo-dybala/nationalmannschaft/spieler/206050/verein_id/3437) Argentina star and a ‘proposal that could arrive in the coming weeks’ as Inter Milan watch on with interest.

This season Dybala has [scored 11 times and provided four assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/paulo-dybala/leistungsdaten/spieler/206050) in 23 appearances across all competitions.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Valued at £45million and soon to be a free agent ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/paulo-dybala/marktwertverlauf/spieler/206050)), signing the Argentine for nothing would be a sensational piece of business.

Already boasting a goal, achievement and [trophy-laden career](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/paulo-dybala/erfolge/spieler/206050),  Dybala would be a readymade option to boost Jurgen Klopp’s attacking ranks.

Predimaitely operating as either a centre-forward or second striker, the man once hailed as the [‘complete player’](https://www.forbes.com/sites/sammay/2020/04/03/alessandro-del-piero-juventus-legend-dubs-paulo-dybala-a-complete-player/) by Alessandro Del Piero would be the ideal man to supplement and perhaps replace Roberto Firmino.

Furthermore, saving money on a fee here should keep funds available for [elsewhere](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/first-team) within the squad.
