# Virals: Liverpool ‘in talks’ with two clubs over Sheyi Ojo loan deal

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/08/31/virals-liverpool-defender-nat-phillips-signs-new-four-year-contract/) have reportedly been locked ‘in talks’ with two Championship clubs over a possible loan deal for [Sheyi Ojo](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/08/25/virals-liverpool-outcast-sheyi-ojo-wanted-by-european-clubs/).

The 24-year-old looks to be out of the plans at Anfield having [returned from a loan move](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sheyi-ojo/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/236510) at Cardiff City last season.

Signed from MK Dons as a teenager in 2011, Ojo has made [13 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sheyi-ojo/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/236510/verein/31) for the Reds at first-team level.

According to [Neil Jones](https://twitter.com/neiljonesgoal/status/1432767234334760966) on Twitter, the Anfield club have been attempting to find a resolution to the winger’s future throughout deadline day.

Meanwhile, a report from [Deepdale Digest](https://www.deepdaledigest.com/news/exclusive-preston-pushed-to-sign-sheyi-ojo-on-loan-before-deadline/) has claimed that Preston North End are one of the aforementioned ‘unnamed’ clubs seeking to find an agreement for Ojo, whilst [London News Online](https://londonnewsonline.co.uk/exclusive-millwall-pushing-to-conclude-loan-deal-for-liverpool-winger/) states Millwall are the other interested party.

Last season the former England youth international [scored five and assisted seven other goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sheyi-ojo/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/236510) in the second-tier.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Valued at £2.7million and under contract until 2023 at Anfield ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sheyi-ojo/marktwertverlauf/spieler/236510)), finding a move for the London-born ace would be ideal prior to the end of the window.

Seemingly without a future on Merseyside having endured [six loan spells away](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sheyi-ojo/transfers/spieler/236510) in the last 10 years, eventually something is going to have to give.

Liverpool have built up a strong relationship with Preston in recent months via the [deals for Ben Davies and Sepp van den Berg](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ben-davies-joins-liverpool-from-preston-sepp-van-den-berg-goes-the-other-way/view/news/379280) – hopefully, a deal can be struck in the coming hours here.
