So far this season Zaniolo – described as [‘incredible’](https://www.asroma.com/en/news/2019/2/de-rossi-full-of-praise-for-zaniolo-after-star-turn) by Daniele De Rossi – has [scored four times and provided five assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/nicolo-zaniolo/leistungsdaten/spieler/392085) in 28 appearances across all competitions.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Valued at £29.7million and under contract until 2024 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/nicolo-zaniolo/marktwertverlauf/spieler/392085)), signing the young attacker would be a wholly viable financial venture for Liverpool.

A versatile [operator](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/nicolo-zaniolo/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/392085) capable of playing on the wing or centrally, Zaniolo would be a smart addition to Jurgen Klopp’s squad as the German attempts to bolster the options on Merseyside.

Possessing particularly [strong dribbling](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/332398/Show/Nicol%C3%B2-Zaniolo) ability, the exciting Italian certainly has the fundamentals to become a star in the future.

With the Reds’ short on an [understudy](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/first-team) for Mohamed Salah, this would cerainly be a worthwhile avenue to explore at the end of the season.
