# Virals: Liverpool involved in bizarre Kylian Mbappe transfer update

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/11/09/james-pearce-reiterates-liverpool-interest-in-outstanding-jarrod-bowen/) have seemingly never been too far away from updates regarding the next move of Paris Saint-Germain superstar [Kylian Mbappe](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/09/22/virals-tweet-highlights-exciting-list-of-soon-to-be-out-of-contract-stars/).

The Reds are perenially [linked](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/signed-kylian-mbappe-liverpool-january-21778052) with the 22-year-old forward but look almost certain to miss out to La Liga giants Real Madrid.

Out of contract at the end of the current season and the subject of [eye-watering rejected bids](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/aug/31/real-madrid-fail-with-200m-kylian-mbappe-bid-but-sign-camavinga) in the summer, Mbappe seems destined to leave the French capital for nothing.

There could yet be a twist in the transfer tale however as Spanish outlet [*El Nacional*](https://www.elnacional.cat/ca/esports/mbappe-demana-un-fitxatge-galactic-i-florentino-perez-recupera-un-vell-son-somni-per-executar-el-canvi_666368_102.html), as cited by [The Football Index](https://twitter.com/TheFootballInd)on Twitter, claims that the sensational star would prefer a managerial change at Madrid.

> El Nacional claims that Kylian Mbappe has told Madrid he will only join them on the condition that they make Jurgen Klopp their manager, replacing current boss Carlo Ancelotti with the German.

The report claims that the [51-cap World Cup winner](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kylian-mbappe/nationalmannschaft/spieler/342229/verein_id/3377) has been left ‘disappointed’ by the reappointment of ex-Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti.

It is believed that Mbappe would rather play under Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp – easy to believe after the Frenchman championed the [‘machine’](https://www.insider.com/kylian-mbappe-reiterates-love-for-liverpool-and-jurgen-klopp-2020-5#:~:text=Kylian%20Mbappe%20has%20once%20again%20lathered%20praise%20on%20Liverpool%20FC,have%20made%20winning%20look%20easy.%22) of a side that the German has built on Merseyside.

This season the man recently described as [‘incredible’](https://www.transfermarketweb.com/ligue-1/ligue-1-psg-marco-verratti-covers-kylian-mbappe-with-praise-224859) by Marco Verratti has [scored seven and provided 11 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kylian-mbappe/leistungsdaten/spieler/342229) in 17 appearances across all competitions.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Mbappe [wanting to play under Klopp](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/kylian-mbappe-spoke-jurgen-klopp-23525808) seems a genuine enough suggestion, although whether the ace would go as far as to shun Ancelotti is doubtful.

Capable of playing either from the left or centrally and possessing pace to burn and a [super dynamic](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/300713/Show/Kylian-Mbapp%C3%A9) playing style, the Frenchman would flourish in this Liverpool side.

Valued at £144million ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kylian-mbappe/marktwertverlauf/spieler/342229)), signing the world’s most valuable asset for nothing is an extraordinary opportunity for any club with just sky-high wages to conquer.

If Mbappe truly is set on playing under Klopp, perhaps a move to Anfield would be the best bet as there is [no chance](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50780855) that the German is heading to Madrid anytime soon…
