# Virals: Liverpool keen on AS Monaco ace Aurelien Tchouameni

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/11/15/virals-liverpool-interested-in-signing-wolves-loan-ace-hwang-hee-chan/) are reportedly keen on signing AS Monaco starlet [Aurelien Tchouameni](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/10/31/virals-liverpool-eyeing-move-for-monaco-star-aurelien-tchouameni/).

The 21-year-old midfielder is [attracting plenty of interest](https://talksport.com/football/981144/manchester-united-aurelien-tchouameni-paul-pogba-declan-rice/) from across Europe as the Reds join the list of potential suitors.

However, it would appear the [race could already be over](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1521192/chelsea-aurelien-tchouameni-monaco-transfer-news-real-madrid-SNT) as Chelsea lead the way.

That’s according to a report from [Tuttojuve](https://www.tuttojuve.com/calciomercato/juve-spaventata-dal-monaco-il-chelsea-pronta-a-batterla-per-tchouameni-578696), as cited by [Anfield Edition](https://twitter.com/AnfieldEdition) on Twitter claiming that the Anfield club have contacted the Ligue 1 side.

The report claims that whilst Liverpool have asked Monaco about the price for the [six-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aurelien-tchouameni/nationalmannschaft/spieler/413112/verein_id/3377) ace, Chelsea are at the front of the pack.

So far this season Tchouameni, who was described as [‘extraordinary’](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9975843/Paul-Pogba-heaps-praise-extraordinary-Manchester-United-target-Aurelien-Tchouameni.html) by Paul Pogba, has earned an impressive [7.25 average Sofascore rating](https://www.sofascore.com/player/aurelien-tchouameni/859025) from 12 Ligue 1 outings.

Valued at £31.5million and under contract in France until 2024 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aurelien-tchouameni/marktwertverlauf/spieler/413112)), signing the French star for the mooted £43million valuation would be an outstanding piece of business.

At just 21 and with a [rapidly rising](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aurelien-tchouameni/marktwertverlauf/spieler/413112) stock, Jurgen Klopp will hope the race remains very much on.
