# Virals: Liverpool ‘like’ Premier League forward duo as options are assessed

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/07/01/virals-new-liverpool-man-ibrahima-konate-en-route-to-the-uk/) are believed to ‘like’ the look of both [Ollie Watkins](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/05/09/robbie-fowler-believes-liverpool-should-be-considering-ollie-watkins-move/) at Aston Villa and Wolves winger Pedro Neto, as the Reds assess their summer transfer options.

On the day centre back Ibrahima Konate [officially](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/435628-liverpool-agree-deal-to-sign-ibrahima-konate-from-rb-leipzig) became part of Jurgen Klopp’s squad, the attention has turned to other areas in need of strengthening.

Two names on the potential wishlist have come from [domestic rivals](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) as 25-year-old Watkins and 21-year-old Neto are both thought to be admired by Anfield officials.

This is according to a report from [Goal](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/konate-in-wijnaldum-out-how-liverpool-line-up-2021-22/15u228yvu423p1puyveuucy6bg), as cited by [LFC Transfer Room](https://twitter.com/LFCTransferRoom/status/1410497680657244162) on Twitter.

The report does go on to name Leeds United sensation Raphinha, Leicester City ace Harvey Barnes and the [previously linked](https://talksport.com/football/763254/liverpool-watford-sign-ismaila-sarr/) Ismaila Sarr as other options.

Watkins enjoyed a superb first campaign in the Premier League having arrived from Brentford last summer, scoring [14 goals and registering another five assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ollie-watkins/leistungsdaten/spieler/324358).

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Klopp will certainly be hopeful of adding at least one [additional attacking option](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/first-team) before the transfer window is complete.

Following the [success](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/jota-impact-liverpool-similar-salah-klopp-headache-aldridge/1ixdq112s4wu9z9kenig0uy58) of the arrival of Diogo Jota last summer, the club will be hoping to replicate a similar deal if possible.

Ideally a player capable of operating across the frontline, any further incomings [may still have to wait](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-sell-11-players-millions-20264292) until the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri, Harry Wilson and Divock Origi can be moved on.
