# Virals: Liverpool make ‘informal offer’ to sign Alexander Isak

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/03/18/virals-liverpool-target-paulo-dybala-ready-to-leave-juventus/) have reportedly made an ‘informal offer’ to sign Real Sociedad striker [Alexander Isak](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/03/14/virals-liverpool-interested-in-real-sociedad-striker-alexander-isak/).

The 22-year-old has been [linked](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-fans-alexander-isak-transfer-21470904) with the Reds for some time and appears to remain on the radar on Merseyside.

Having attracted admirers following [impressive displays](https://www.sofascore.com/player/alexander-isak/823941) for both club and country, the Swedish international seems destined to move in the summer window.

According to the latest report from [Mundo Deportivo](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/real-sociedad/20220316/1001767786/oferta-red-70-millones-isak.html), as cited by [LFC Transfer Room](https://twitter.com/LFCTransferRoom/status/1504882695956049924) on Twitter, the Anfield club have made their first move.

The report claims that Liverpool have made a ‘proposal’ of €70million (£58million) to sign the [31-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alexander-isak/nationalmannschaft/spieler/349066/verein_id/3557) towering frontman.

So far this season Isak – who is [tipped](https://twitter.com/AnfieldEdition/status/1470884443191754764?s=20) to be the ‘perfect’ forward for Jurgen Klopp by Jose Enrique – has [scored eight times and provided three assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alexander-isak/leistungsdaten/spieler/349066) in 32 appearances across all competitions.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Valued at £36million and under contract in Spain until 2026 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alexander-isak/marktwertverlauf/spieler/349066)), it may take the entire €90million (£75million) asking price to land the Swede.

At just 22 and with [plenty of room](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/299254/Show/Alexander-Isak) for improvement, shelling out big money for the starlet would undoubtedly be a risk.

However, as Roberto Firmino edges towards the final 12 months of a deal on Anfield and Divock Origi seemingly edges [towards the exit door](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1504136127791484929), Klopp will want a replacement centre-forward.

Albeit far from the finished article, there is [plenty to work with](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alexander-isak/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/349066) in Isak and Klopp and co would relish the opportunity of honing the next superstar striker.
