# Virals: Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp reportedly ‘wants’ Eden Hazard

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/11/04/alisson-becker-believes-roberto-firmino-injury-is-nothing-serious/) manager Jurgen Klopp is reportedly keen on bringing Real Madrid forward [Eden Hazard](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2019/11/25/fans-react-as-hazard-makes-ballon-dor-claim/) back to the Premier League.

The 30 year old Belgian has struggled for form and fitness since making the staggering £130million move from Chelsea in 2019 ([Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11668/11737250/real-madrid-sign-eden-hazard-from-chelsea-on-five-year-deal)).

Hazard has [scored five times and provided nine assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/eden-hazard/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/50202) in 53 appearances for Los Blancos – missing [58 games](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/eden-hazard/verletzungen/spieler/50202) through injury in the same period.

According to a report from Spanish outlet [El National](https://www.elnacional.cat/es/deportes/liverpool-klopp-florentino-perez-real-madrid-hazard_665900_102.html), as cited by [The Anfield Talk](https://twitter.com/TheAnfieldTalk) on Twitter, Klopp ‘wants’ the [115-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/eden-hazard/nationalmannschaft/spieler/50202/verein_id/3382) star at Anfield.

The report claims that the German manager believes Hazard could ‘return to his best’ on Merseyside and offer an additional [attacking option](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/first-team) to the Liverpool squad.

So far this season the man with [138 direct goal contributions](https://www.premierleague.com/players/4503/Eden-Hazard/overview) in 245 Premier League outings has registered just [one assist](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/eden-hazard/leistungsdaten/spieler/50202) in 10 fleeting appearances.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Whilst there are very few that could detract from Hazard’s [trophy-laden](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/eden-hazard/erfolge/spieler/50202) time in England with Chelsea, those days are seemingly long gone.

Having endured a [difficult 18 months](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/eden-hazard/leistungsdaten/spieler/50202/plus/0?saison=ges) in Madrid, signing the versatile attacker – described as [‘world class’](https://www.chelseafc.com/en) by John Terry – would be an expensive risk.

Still valued at £22.5million and under contract at the Bernabeu until 2024 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/eden-hazard/marktwertverlauf/spieler/50202)), it would take a cut-price fee and low wages to make this deal make any sense to the Reds.
