# Virals: Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita wanted by multiple clubs

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/01/04/virals-liverpool-looking-to-trigger-release-clause-for-gavi/) midfielder Naby Keita has reportedly attracted interest from a host of clubs across Europe.

The 26-year-old has endured a [stop-start career](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/naby-keita/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/302215) on Merseyside, mostly due to persistent injury problems.

Despite arriving with a burgeoning reputation following a [successful spell](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/naby-keita/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/302215) in the Bundesliga at RB Leipzig,  Keita has only shown glimpses of his talents as a Red.

Now, according to a report from Spanish outlet [El Nacional](https://www.elnacional.cat/ca/esports/klopp-no-ho-vol-al-liverpool-i-el-barca-de-xavi-hernandez-es-el-mes-ben-col-locat-per-emportar-se-l_690191_102.html), as cited by [LFC Transfer Room](https://twitter.com/LFCTransferRoom) on Twitter, Liverpool may be forced to consider the ace’s long term future once again.

The report claims that Jurgen Klopp has ‘ordered’ the [44-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/naby-keita/nationalmannschaft/spieler/302215/verein_id/3856) Guinea man to find a new club ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

Barcelona are said to be in ‘pole’ whilst [West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2022/01/04/virals-west-ham-have-everton-full-back-lucas-digne-under-consideration/), AC Milan, Bayern Munich and Roma make up the interested parties.

So far this season Keita has [scored three times and provided one assist](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/naby-keita/leistungsdaten/spieler/302215) in 16 appearances across all competitions.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Valued at £27million and under contract at Anfield until 2023 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/naby-keita/marktwertverlauf/spieler/302215)), there is certainly a decision to be made regarding the Guinean’s long term future.

This latest report suggests an extension for the [dynamic midfielder](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/243510/Show/Naby-Ke%C3%AFta) is off the table and that the club are ready to cash in.

Currently away at the Africa Cup of Nations, Keita has [missed 54 games](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/naby-keita/verletzungen/spieler/302215) across the last three seasons for Liverpool – far too many to justify a new deal.

Instead, the money generated from the sale should go towards signing a fresh face with a more dependable avaialibilty record – perhaps the [heavily linked](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-jude-bellingham-transfer-january-21530286) Jude Bellingham.
