According to a report from [Corriere del Mezzogiorno (via Tutto Napoli)](https://www.tuttonapoli.net/calciomercato/dal-newcastle-150mln-per-fabian-e-osimhen-il-napoli-non-ci-ha-neanche-pensato-494270), Liverpool, Newcastle United and Arsenal are set to be let disappointed in their pursuit.

The report claims that the [18-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/victor-osimhen/nationalmannschaft/spieler/401923/verein_id/3444) star was set to attract a ‘monstrous proposal’ in the near future but Napoli are now unwilling to sell.

This season Osimhen – hailed as [‘phenomenal](https://football-italia.net/mazzarri-cagliari-avoided-conceding-four-or-five/)‘ by Walter Mazzarri – has [scored nine times and provided two assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/victor-osimhen/leistungsdaten/spieler/401923) in 16 appearances across all competitions.

Valued at an eye-watering £54million and under contract in Naples until 2025 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/victor-osimhen/marktwertverlauf/spieler/401923)), any move for the Nigerian frontman would be an expensive one.

Predominantly a centre-forward, the prolific ace could be viewed as a potential [long term replacement](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/victor-osimhen/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/401923) for Roberto Firmino in Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

Boasting an [impressive array of attributes](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/298510/Show/Victor-Osimhen), Osimhen would certainly be a viable candidate to become a Red in the future.
