# Virals: Liverpool ‘monitoring’ Real Madrid starlet Eduardo Camavinga

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/01/24/virals-aston-villa-plot-another-move-for-liverpool-ace-joe-gomez/) are reportedly ‘monitoring’ Real Madrid midfielder [Eduardo Camavinga](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/12/23/virals-liverpool-offer-lifeline-to-real-madrid-star-eduardo-camavinga/).

The 19-year-old only arrived in the Spanish capital in September 2021 for £34.4million ([Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11835/12396079/transfer-news-real-madrid-sign-eduardo-camavinga-from-rennes-on-six-year-deal)) but could already be looking for a way out.

Following the departure of the ever-reliable [Georginio Wijnaldum to Paris Saint-Germain](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11820/12189637/georginio-wijnaldum-paris-saint-germain-sign-midfielder-on-free-transfer-from-liverpool), Jurgen Klopp’s midfield options have been stretched to the maximum.

According to a report from [El Nacional](https://www.elnacional.cat/es/deportes/klopp-ojo-echado-no-feeling-ancelotti-liverpool-esperara-momento_699486_102.html), as cited by [263Chat.com](https://twitter.com/263Chat) on Twitter, the Reds are keen on the French starlet.

The report claims that Camavinga is ‘not at all happy’ at *Los Blancos* and Klopp ‘has his eye on’ the [three-times capped](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/eduardo-camavinga/nationalmannschaft/spieler/640428/verein_id/9323) France ace.

This season the teen hailed as a [‘little dancer’](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/camavinga-man-utd-transfer-news-24460098) by Paul Pogba has [scored once and provided one assist](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/eduardo-camavinga/leistungsdaten/spieler/640428) in 27 appearances across all competitions.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Valued at £49.5million and under contract at the Bernabeu until 2027 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/eduardo-camavinga/marktwertverlauf/spieler/640428)), any move for the Frenchman would undoubtedly be an expensive one.

However, with the [regular injuries](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/447798-injury-update-naby-keita-thiago-alcantara-and-fabinho-latest) of Thiago and Naby Keita, coupled with James Milner’s imminent retirement, a midfield addition is a must this summer.

Capable of operating in a [defensive position](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/eduardo-camavinga/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/640428) as well as a box to box role, the former Stade Rennais man would be a ready-made successor to Jordan Henderson and Fabinho alike.

Already an established performer at the top level aged just 19, Camavinga has the pedigree, potential and [attributes](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/369109/Show/Eduardo-Camavinga) to be an important addition to Klopp’s ranks.
