# Virals: Liverpool named as ‘admirers’ of Napoli star Piotr Zielinski

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/12/22/virals-real-madrid-keeping-tabs-on-liverpool-star-joe-gomez/) have been named as leading ‘admirers’ of Napoli midfielder [Piotr Zielinski](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/07/07/virals-liverpool-make-contact-to-sign-piotr-zielinski/).

The Reds have been extensively [linked](https://twitter.com/LFCTransferRoom/status/1117767067619528704) with the 27-year-old previously but any concrete move is yet to materialise.

> An intermediary representing Liverpool is ready to submit an offer of €60M (£52M) to Napoli for Polish midfielder Piotr Zielinski. The Italian side may well be tempted to accept it, even though he is valued at €70M (£60M). \[[@NapoliMagazine](https://twitter.com/napolimagazine?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw)\] [#LFC](https://twitter.com/hashtag/LFC?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) [pic.twitter.com/XRt3DXXbOd](https://t.co/XRt3DXXbOd)

Now a fresh report from Italian outlet [CalcioMercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/zielinski-leader-il-napoli-gode-il-tentativo-di-klopp-e-il-milan-85741?rel=sosfanta_widget) has named the Anfield club as long term suitors for the Polish ace.

The report states that whilst *Gli Azzurri* are ‘calm’ over the future of the [66-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/piotr-zielinski/nationalmannschaft/spieler/181136/verein_id/3442) star due to a recent contract renewal, they also recognise the interest from ‘top clubs’ such as Liverpool.

So far this season the man hailed as a [‘complete midfielder’](https://football-italia.net/ancelotti-zielinski-a-complete-midfielder/) by Carlo Ancelotti has [scored five times and provided five assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/piotr-zielinski/leistungsdaten/spieler/181136) in 17 Serie A appearances.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Valued at £45million and under contract in Naples until 2024 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/piotr-zielinski/marktwertverlauf/spieler/181136)), opportunities to play elsewhere won’t be around forever for Zielinski having spent his [entire career](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/piotr-zielinski/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/181136) in Italy.

Predominantly a [forward-thinking](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/118169/Show/Piotr-Zielinski) midfield operator, the Pole would add a new dimension to a balanced Liverpool outfit.

As the [long-term future of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/alex-oxlade-chamberlain-liverpool-transfer-21836258) remains unclear beyond this campaign, Jurgen Klopp should certainly keep a close eye on Zielinski.
