# Virals: Liverpool ‘on alert’ for Robert Lewandowski transfer

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/01/06/virals-liverpool-interested-in-signing-fc-nantes-striker-randal-kolo-muani/) are reportedly ‘on alert’ to the prospect of signing Bayern Munich superstar [Robert Lewandowski](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/09/16/virals-liverpool-named-among-suitors-for-robert-lewandowski/).

The 33-year-old striker is believed to be seeking a new challenge in the twilight of what has been an [astonishing career](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/robert-lewandowski/erfolge/spieler/38253) to date.

Having amassed a remarkable [324 goals in 354 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/robert-lewandowski/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/38253) for the Bavarian club, Lewandowski is now seemingly ‘bound’ for the Premier League after 12 years in Germany.

That’s according to Sky Sports Germany reporter [Marc Behrenbeck](https://twitter.com/sky_marc?lang=en) (via [FourFourTwo](https://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/transfer-report-robert-lewandowski-bound-for-the-premier-league-with-manchester-city-liverpool-and-chelsea-on-alert)), as cited by [Bill Bennett](https://twitter.com/billbennettnz) on Twitter.

The report claims that the [128-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/robert-lewandowski/nationalmannschaft/spieler/38253/verein_id/3442) Poland captain ‘will be moving in the summer’ with the Reds, Chelsea and Manchester City all attentive to the prospect.

This season Lewandowski has [scored 30 times and provided three assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/robert-lewandowski/leistungsdaten/spieler/38253) in 25 appearances across all competitions.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Valued at £45million and under contract at the Allianz Arena until 2023 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/robert-lewandowski/marktwertverlauf/spieler/38253)), any deal for the powerful Pole would still be an expensive outlay.

Showing no signs of slowing down and boasting an [impressive injury record](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/robert-lewandowski/verletzungen/spieler/38253), Lewandowski clearly still has plenty to offer at the very highest level.

As Jurgen Klopp looks to rejuvenate the attacking ranks at Anfield, reuniting with Lewandowski – a manager for whom the frontman [scored 102 times](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/robert-lewandowski/leistungsdatentrainer/spieler/38253) in 186 outings – would be an opportunity that’s impossible to ignore.
