# Virals: Liverpool outcast Konstantinos Tsimikas on Inter Milan ‘wishlist’

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/07/05/virals-fabrizio-romano-claims-target-saul-niguez-could-leave-this-summer/) full-back [Konstantinos Tsimikas](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/06/20/fabrizio-romano-claims-kostas-tsimikas-can-leave-this-summer/) has reportedly been named on the Inter Milan summer transfer ‘wishlist’.

The [Serie A title holders](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56964913) are believed to be in the market for a left wing-back and the Greek ace has been earmarked as a possible candidate for the role.

Signed from Olympiacos for £11.7million ([Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11669/12046303/liverpool-sign-kostas-tsimikas-from-olympiakos-for-11-75m)) last August to act as cover for Andy Robertson, the 25-year-old struggled to make the desired impact at Anfield.

Now according to a report from Italian outlet [Corriere dello Sport](https://www.corrieredellosport.it/foto/calcio/euro-2020/calciomercato/2021/07/04-83267559/calciomercato_inter_traffico_sulle_fasce_tutti_i_nomi), as cited by [Football Transfers](https://twitter.com/Transferzone00/status/1411648693048987650) on Twitter, Inter could be set to swoop.

The report claims that the Nerazzurri have been forced to seek options at left-back after [Ashley Young rejoined Aston Villa](https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2021/june/Villa-announce-Ashley-Young-signing/) as a free agent.

Tsimikas made just [seven appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/konstantinos-tsimikas/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/338070) across all competitions last term for the Reds, playing just five minutes of Premier League football.

Meanwhile, Robertson played [49 times](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/andrew-robertson/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/234803) and appeared in every league game – amassing 3,386 minutes.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

This is a huge conundrum for Jurgen Klopp and co to deal with.

Whilst it’s likely the [eight-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/konstantinos-tsimikas/nationalmannschaft/spieler/338070/verein_id/3378) ace would want more first-team opportunities, unfortunately, [injury](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/konstantinos-tsimikas/verletzungen/spieler/338070) and performances meant they were few and far between.

Valued at £7.2million and under contract at Anfield until 2025 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/konstantinos-tsimikas/marktwertverlauf/spieler/338070)), Klopp would certainly utilise a healthy incoming fee for the Greek.

However, unlike the [wantaway Neco Williams](https://twitter.com/JamesPearceLFC/status/1406957117685256194), Liverpool are rather bereft of candidates to backup Robertson, meaning any funds would have to be set aside for the role anyway.

After a year of adaptation to life with the club, keeping Tsimikas and [expecting more](https://www.sofascore.com/player/konstantinos-tsimikas/786259) is surely the best way to go.
