# Virals: Liverpool ‘plotting move’ for Kingsley Coman

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/06/14/virals-hertha-berlin-submit-offer-for-marko-grujic/) are believed to be considering a sensational move for Bayern Munich star [Kingsley Coman](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/01/01/liverpool-fans-not-sold-on-didi-hamanns-kinglsey-coman-suggestion/) this summer.

The Reds are certainly looking to bolster their attacking options after what was at times a [miserable campaign](https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/liverpools-misfiring-forwards-cost-us-admits-juergen-klopp-06rmhfhbl) in front of goal for the usually lethal forwards.

Only Mohamed Salah [reached close to previous heights](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/436384-mohamed-salah-wins-pfa-fans-player-of-the-year-award) as Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and in particular Divock Origi suffered major dips in form.

Despite the emergence of Diogo Jota as an additional option following his [impressive debut](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/jota-impact-liverpool-similar-salah-klopp-headache-aldridge/1ixdq112s4wu9z9kenig0uy58) Anfield season, Jurgen Klopp is expected to consider options to strengthen the department.

According to a report from [Fichajes](https://www.fichajes.net/noticias/liverpool-quiere-sacar-coman-bayern-20210610.html), as cited by [The Anfield Buzz](https://twitter.com/TheAnfieldBuzz/status/1404149797737713666) on Twitter, Coman could be among the potential targets.

The report states that the 25-year-old’s agent is pushing for the French international to [land a new contract](https://bulinews.com/news/8614/kingsley-comans-wage-demands-likened-alabas-contract-scenario) at Bayern – with a reluctance coming from the Bavarian club.

This stance has alerted the Reds, who are claimed to be willing to pay £30million for Coman’s services, less than Bayern’s mooted £42milion valuation.

Currently away with the [France squad](https://theathletic.com/news/france-euro-2020-squad-full-26-man-team-ahead-of-2021-tournament-13-06-21/9BlTr7CoEkyp) for Euro 2020, the [30-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kingsley-coman/nationalmannschaft/spieler/243714/verein_id/3377) Parisian [scored eight and made 15 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kingsley-coman/leistungsdaten/spieler/243714) in 39 outings during 2020/21.

Valued at £58.8million and under contract at the Allianz Arena until 2023 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kingsley-coman/marktwertverlauf/spieler/243714)), signing Coman for anywhere near the mooted £30million fee would be an incredible piece of business.

Credited with [excellent attacking attributes](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/125883/Show/Kingsley-Coman), the Frenchman, once described as ‘solid gold’ by Bayern legend Thomas Muller, would offer Klopp additional options across the entire frontline.

A serial winner, Coman is worth signing simply as a good luck charm if nothing else having [won the title in each of his ten seasons](https://www.marca.com/en/football/bundesliga/2021/05/09/6097dcee22601d64798b45f6.html) in the professional game.
