# Virals: Liverpool prepare ‘desperate’ move for PSG star Kylian Mbappe

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/11/18/virals-wolves-are-ready-to-sell-liverpool-target-adama-traore/) are reportedly set to make a ‘desperate’ attempt to sign Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe.

The Reds have long since been [linked](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-kylian-mbappe-transfer-psg-21755310) with a sensational move for the 22-year-old before it appeared that Real Madrid were nailed on to get the deal over the line.

Out of contract at the end of the season and the [subject of astronomical offers](https://www.espn.co.uk/football/soccer-transfers/story/4466008/real-madrid-bid-200m-for-kylian-mbappe-psg-fail-to-respond-sources) during the summer from Los Blancos, Liverpool are now looking to hijack the transfer of the World Cup winner.

That’s according to a report from Spanish publication [Defensa Central](https://www.defensacentral.com/real_madrid/1637176260-exclusiva-el-liverpool-hara-un-intento-suicida-por-mbappe-y-30-millones-de-sueldo), as cited on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/defcentral/status/1461061327032438788).

The report claims that the Anfield club are preparing a massive contract offer worth €30million (£25.2million) per year to land the [53-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kylian-mbappe/nationalmannschaft/spieler/342229/verein_id/3377) ace.

This season Mbappe has [scored seven times and provided 11 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kylian-mbappe/leistungsdaten/spieler/342229) in 16 appearances across all competitions whilst forming part of a fearsome frontline in the French capital.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Valued at an eye-watering £144million ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kylian-mbappe/marktwertverlauf/spieler/342229)), it is of little surprise that clubs would be vying for the Frenchman’s signature as a free agent.

Although it likely remains a forlorn attempt to beat Real Madrid to the [lightning fast](https://www.givemesport.com/1682517-psgs-kylian-mbappe-recorded-one-of-footballs-fastest-ever-sprints-vs-as-monaco-in-2019) forward, Liverpool would be wise to put up a fight until the last.

A [truly generational footballer](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kylian-mbappe/erfolge/spieler/342229) with the ability to transform Jurgen Klopp’s side singlehandedly moving forwards, Mbappe is one of the few players in world football worth the crazy mooted wages.
