# Virals: Liverpool ‘preparing’ new £82m Mohamed Salah contract offer

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/10/14/pundit-believes-jurgen-klopp-will-be-over-the-moon-after-injury-update/) are reportedly ‘preparing’ to make [Mohamed Salah](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/10/07/pundit-claims-liverpool-cannot-afford-mohamed-salah-contract-rift/) the top earner at the club with a new bumper contract.

The 29-year-old currently has [20 months remaining](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mohamed-salah/profil/spieler/148455) on a deal at Anfield and speculation has been mounting over the ongoing stalemate.

Now, according to a report from [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-liverpool-submitting-offer-as-fsg-want-deal-done-by-1-january-after-salah-latest/), as cited by [Liverpool FC News](https://twitter.com/LivEchoLFC/status/1448543798401830914) on Twitter, the club could be set to break the impasse with an £82million package including a £350,000-a-week salary.

The report claims that the [71-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mohamed-salah/nationalmannschaft/spieler/148455/verein_id/3672) Egypt superstar ‘wants a deal’ until this summer 2026 when the winger will have been on Merseyside for nine years.

So far this season Salah has [scored nine times in nine appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mohamed-salah/leistungsdaten/spieler/148455) across all competitions – earning a remarkable [7.71 average Sofascore rating](https://www.sofascore.com/player/mohamed-salah/159665) from seven Premier League outings in the process.

This will be music to the ears of Kopites everywhere.

Salah is already proving age is merely just a number as the Egyptian King seemingly [improves](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mohamed-salah/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/148455) year on year.

Previously reluctant to hand out big deals to star’s approaching or past their thirties, Joran Henderson’s [summer extension](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11669/12382844/jordan-henderson-liverpool-captain-signs-new-four-year-contract#:~:text=Jordan%20Henderson%3A%20Liverpool%20captain%20signs%20new%20four%2Dyear%20contract,-Jordan%20Henderson%20joined&text=Liverpool%20captain%20Jordan%20Henderson%20has,became%20Liverpool's%20captain%20in%202015.) suggested FSG would have no issue offering Salah new terms.

Show-stopping form at the start of this term has perhaps forced the board’s hand yet further as everyone sees the importance of keeping the [£90million valued](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mohamed-salah/marktwertverlauf/spieler/148455) winger at Anfield.
