# Virals: Liverpool put offer ‘on the table’ for PSG ace Ismael Gharbi

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/01/19/virals-liverpool-lead-the-race-for-fc-porto-star-luis-diaz/) have reportedly put an ‘offer on the table’ for Paris Saint-Germain starlet Ismael Gharbi.

The 17-year-old attacking midfielder has previously been [linked](https://sportwitness.co.uk/chelsea-following-17-year-old-midfielder-closely-shown-interesting-sporting-project/) with a move to Chelsea but the Reds are now believed to be in the picture.

That’s according to French journalist [Fabrice Hawkins](https://twitter.com/FabriceHawkins/status/1483778182889316360?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1483778182889316360%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=http%3A%2F%2Fsportwitness.co.uk%2Fliverpool-put-offer-player-table-reds-want-disappointed-current-situation%2F) on Twitter, who claims that the Anfield club have made their move.

Translated, Hawkins states that Liverpool ‘want’ the [twice-capped](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ismael-gharbi/nationalmannschaft/spieler/810096/verein_id/25250) France Under 18 ace and have their ‘proposal is on the table’ for the signing.

Having made a [senior bow](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/losc-lille_paris-saint-germain/index/spielbericht/3573730) in August 2020 as the Parisian giants were beaten by Lille in the Trophee Des Champions, Gharbi has since made two further first-team appearances.

Valued at £720,000 and out of contract at the end of the season ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ismael-gharbi/marktwertverlauf/spieler/810096)), the teen is said to be ‘disappointed’ with a paltry 43 minutes of action under Mauricio Pochettino this season.

So far in a fledgling career, Gharbi has [operated as a right-winger](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ismael-gharbi/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/810096) for the French capital club and could be viewed as a long-term successor to Mohamed Salah.

Highly rated by officials, the manager of Paris Saint Germain FC II, Hervé Guégan, described the attacker as having a [‘real sensitivity’](https://onefootball.com/en/news/lionel-messi-psg-starlet-ismael-gharbi-meets-his-idol-for-the-first-time-in-training-33569638) to his style of play.

Liverpool have developed a [penchant for signing talented youngsters](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool-jugend/alletransfers/verein/50906) in recent years in the shape of Harvey Elliott, Kaide Gordon and Marcelo Pitaluga – Gharbi could be the next in line.
