# Virals: Liverpool ‘ready to step up’ pursuit of Adama Traore

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/10/10/virals-ex-liverpool-trialist-andreas-schjelderup-to-break-transfer-record/) are reportedly ‘ready to step up their pursuit’ of Wolves winger [Adama Traore](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/07/29/virals-liverpool-could-include-squad-player-in-move-for-adama-traore/).

Reds’ boss Jurgen Klopp is expected to freshen up the attacking options at Anfield in the near future as [star trio](https://www.coachesvoice.com/premier-league-liverpool-roberto-firmino-mo-salah-sadio-mane/) Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino all approach 30.

Often [linked](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/adama-traore-liverpool-transfer-news-21200241) with an Anfield switch, Traore has seemingly been on the German’s radar for some time.

According to a report from [El Nacional](https://www.elnacional.cat/ca/esports/adama-traore-fitxatge-liverpool-jurgen-klopp-wolves_655229_102.html), as cited by [LFC Transfer Room](https://twitter.com/LFCTransferRoom) on Twitter, the 25-year-old could be a major target for the Reds.

The report claims that the interest has ‘intensified’ and Klopp would welcome the [eight-times capped](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adama-traore/nationalmannschaft/spieler/204103/verein_id/3375) Spanish ace with ‘open arms’ into the squad.

Traore has previously been hailed as [‘unplayable’](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jurgen-klopp-adama-traore-liverpool-20186548) by Klopp due to the ex-Barcelona youngster’s lightning pace and power.

This season the winger is [yet to directly contribute to a goal](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adama-traore/leistungsdaten/spieler/204103) in nine appearances across all competitions.

Signing Traore would certainly pose an [interesting additional threat](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/140088/Show/Adama-Traor%C3%A9) to the Liverpool attacking ranks.
