# Virals: Liverpool reportedly ‘keen’ on Ajax winger Antony

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/10/27/virals-liverpool-are-keeping-tabs-on-chelsea-defender-antonio-rudiger/) are reportedly ‘keen’ on adding exciting Ajax winger Antony to their attacking ranks.

The Brazilian international is believed to be one of a [number of options](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/first-team) being considered at Anfield as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster the forward department.

Capped [three times](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/antony/nationalmannschaft/spieler/602105/verein_id/3439) by Brazil, the 21-year-old has been turning heads in Holland with a string of stunning Eredevisie displays.

According to a report from [ElNacional](https://www.elnacional.cat/ca/esports/klopp-recomana-elegeixi-barca-reial-madrid-estrella_661220_102.html), as cited by [ThinkLFCTV](https://twitter.com/ThinkLFCTV) on Twitter, Liverpool are interested in the exciting youngster.

The report also credits the Reds with an interest in Red Bull Salzburg ace [Karim Adeyemi](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/10/27/virals-liverpool-have-expressed-interest-in-karim-adeyemi/) and superstar striker Erling Haaland.

This season Antony, who was described as [‘wonderful’](https://www.football-oranje.com/dutch-master-scout-full-of-praise-for-ajax-duo-fan-tas-tic-player/) by elite scout Piet de Visser, has [scored four goals and provided two assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/antony/leistungsdaten/spieler/602105) in 10 appearances across all competitions.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Predominantly a [right-winger](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/antony/profil/spieler/602105), Antony would be in direct competition with arguably the best player in world football, Mohamed Salah.

However, possessing an [array of superb attacking attributes](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/364315/Show/Antony) and capable of playing across the frontline, Klopp should not be put off signing the Brazilian.

Valued at £22.5million and under contract until 2025 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/antony/marktwertverlauf/spieler/602105)), signing the Sao Paolo born star would be an expensive venture for the Reds.
