# Virals: Liverpool set to reignite interest in Jarrod Bowen

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/09/24/virals-liverpool-keeping-tabs-on-ajax-centre-back-perr-schuurs/) are reportedly considering reigniting their interest in West Ham forward [Jarrod Bowen](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/08/27/virals-liverpool-still-interested-in-west-ham-forward-jarrod-bowen/).

The Reds were [initially linked](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1484387/Liverpool-transfer-news-Jarrod-Bowen-gossip-rumours-update-deadline-day) with a move for the 24-year-old during the summer but held off on making a concrete offer.

That interest would appear to [remain present](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/jarrod-bowen-west-ham-transfer-b1923015.html) and could see the Anfield club act as soon as January.

That’s according to a report from the [Liverpool Echo](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/bowen-liverpool-transfer-manchester-united-21653727), as cited by [Leelafootballnews](https://twitter.com/Leelafootball2) on Twitter, claiming Bowen is very much on the radar.

The report claims Liverpool could make a genuine bid in either the winter window or next summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to rejuvenate the [squad](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/first-team).

So far this season Bowen has provided [one assist](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jarrod-bowen/leistungsdaten/spieler/314875) in seven appearances – earning an impressive [7.28 average Sofascore](https://www.sofascore.com/player/jarrod-bowen/552884) rating in the process.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Signing additional attacking options was clearly down on the [list of priorities](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/what-liverpools-transfer-wishlist-could-20665563) during the recent summer transfer window following the previous arrival of Diogo Jota and the emergence of Harvey Elliott.

However, Bowen looks to be a ready-made Klopp player, with all the [attributes](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/322596/Show/Jarrod-Bowen) to be a success on Merseyside.

Boasting [excellent versatility](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jarrod-bowen/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/314875) and always a willing runner, signing the ex-Hull City ace would only enhance his own skillset.

Currently holding a market value of £27million and contract until 2025 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jarrod-bowen/marktwertverlauf/spieler/314875)), this deal would represent a large outlay and would see the selling club – West Ham- have all the power.
