# Virals: Liverpool star Diogo Jota sets tongues wagging with fresh look

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/02/22/virals-la-liga-giants-set-sights-on-liverpool-star-sadio-mane/) forward [Diogo Jota](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/02/16/opinion-jurgen-klopp-should-unleash-new-look-best-xi-in-the-san-siro/) looks to have handed the Reds a timely boost with a social media post.

The Portuguese forward has been sidelined since picking up an [ankle ligament issue](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12544894/diogo-jota-jurgen-klopp-confirms-forward-will-miss-norwich-game-with-ankle-ligament-injury-which-could-go-either-way) against Inter Milan last week.

Jurgen Klopp [confirmed](https://twitter.com/LFC/status/1496102446212517895) in the pre-match press conference that the 25-year-old – as well as Roberto Firmino – would miss the Premier League clash with Leeds United at Anfield.

However, BarbersNo1 on [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/barbersno1/?hl=en) set tongues wagging with a post of Jota receiving a haircut in the build-up to the Carabao Cup final.

Unsurprisingly, the caption ‘FINAL READY’ truly caused a stir on [social media](https://twitter.com/estoesanfield_/status/1496116181580795906) as Kopites got excited about the return of their lethal marksman.

This season Jota has [scored 17 times and provided three assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/diogo-jota/leistungsdaten/spieler/340950) across all competitions – including [three strikes](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/diogo-jota/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/340950/saison/2021/wettbewerb/CGB/verein/31) on the run to the final.

What a seismic boost it would be to have the [£54million valued](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/diogo-jota/marktwertverlauf/spieler/340950) ace fit and available.

Although the [strength](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/first-team) of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino would’ve been a challenge for Chelsea, few defenders have been able to cope with Jota this term.

Having already proven to be extraordinary [value for money](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/liverpool-fc-transfer-news-diogo-jota-45-million-fee-agreed-wolves-a4551021.html) time and time again, a cup winning goal would only further cement a burgeoning Liverpool legacy.
