# Virals: Liverpool star Roberto Firmino ‘offered’ to Barcelona

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/01/17/garth-crooks-believes-james-ward-prowse-would-suit-liverpool/) forward [Roberto Firmino](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/01/16/pundit-backs-new-look-liverpool-frontline-to-secure-epl-victory/) is reportedly the ‘subject of interest’ from Barcelona.

The 30-year-old Brazilian is out of contract at Anfield at the end of next season and looks to have an [uncertain future](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-reckoning-contracts-nobody-discussing-22114625) as a Red.

As the club attempt to tie down Mohamed Salah – amidst [much speculation](https://twitter.com/RamyCol/status/1483060956838121482) from player and agent alike – Firmino’s stay beyond 2023 looks to be in serious doubt.

According to a report from Spanish outlet [El Nacional](https://www.elnacional.cat/ca/esports/klopp-liverpool-20-milions-fcbarcelona-xavi-hernandez_695850_102.html), as cited by [Transfer News Live](https://twitter.com/DeadlineDayLive) on Twitter, the La Liga giants may swoop for the ace.

> 🚨 Roberto Firmino is the subject of interest from Barcelona and Liverpool would be willing to sell the 30-year old striker if they receive a bid of around £17m.

The report claims that the [55-cap Brazil international](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/roberto-firmino/nationalmannschaft/spieler/131789/verein_id/3439) has been ‘offered’ to Barca and would be available for around €20million (£16.6million) as Liverpool look to cut their losses.

This season Firmino has [scored seven times and provided four assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/roberto-firmino/leistungsdaten/spieler/131789) in 18 appearances across all competitions.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Much loved for an unmatched [flamboyant](https://www.givemesport.com/1564855-all-of-roberto-firminos-nolook-goals-show-hes-the-cheekiest-man-in-football#:~:text=So%20far%20in%20his%20career,in%20world%20football%20right%20now.) style, it will be a sad day whenever the skilful Brazilian’s time on Merseyside does come to an end.

Albeit the false nine [continues to produce the goods](https://www.sofascore.com/player/roberto-firmino/143697) for Jurgen Klopp’s side, it’s highly unlikely that the club extends the contracts of the entire front three.

Unfortunately, that means that the [£34.2million valued](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/roberto-firmino/marktwertverlauf/spieler/131789) Firmino could indeed be one of the names on the departure list in the summer.

As for Salah’s agent [sounding out](https://twitter.com/RamyCol/status/1483060956838121482) Fabrizio Romano, let’s all hope it means positive news is imminent.
