# Virals: Liverpool starlet Harvey Elliott posts promising recovery snap

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/10/06/virals-barcelona-reportedly-plot-shock-move-for-divock-origi/) youngster [Harvey Elliott](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/09/20/danny-mills-insists-liverpool-can-cope-without-harvey-elliott/) has posted a seemingly positive recovery update on social media.

Only three weeks ago the 18-year-old [underwent surgery](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/443363-harvey-elliott-undergoes-successful-ankle-surgery) on an ankle injury sustained against Leeds United at Elland Road.

No timescale was placed on the teenager’s return to action but it was [anticipated](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/harvey-elliott-injury-news-liverpool-21551990) Elliott would make a comeback in the new year.

On Tuesday (October 5), the talented England youth international posted on [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/harveyelliott07/?hl=en), as cited by [The Anfield Talk](https://twitter.com/TheAnfieldTalk/status/1445438782183034884) on Twitter, to show supporters the next step in a long road to recovery.

In response to the optimistic post, injury specialists [InjuryMechanisms](https://twitter.com/IMechanisms) played down the progress and suggested it was [‘way too early’](https://twitter.com/IMechanisms/status/1445641578949726216) to be discussing return date.

Prior to the sickening blow, Elliott had started three Premier League matches and earned a [6.83 average Sofascore rating](https://www.sofascore.com/player/harvey-elliott/955245).

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Albeit perhaps too early to be thinking of seeing the [attacking midfielder](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/363982/Show/Harvey-Elliott) back in action, this is a huge step in the right direction.

Seemingly [laid up](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10047583/Small-steps-Harvey-Elliott-posts-update-settles-rehabilitation-horror-injury.html) only a matter of days ago, seeing Elliott back even at a low intensity of work is a positive sign.

In the starlet’s absence Liverpool have [remained unbeaten](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) but undoubtedly miss his early-season energy.

Hopefully, Elliott can enjoy a swift and successful rehabilitation to allow him to [pick up where he left off](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harvey-elliott/leistungsdaten/spieler/565822).
