# Virals: Liverpool ‘still interested’ in West Ham forward Jarrod Bowen

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/08/27/virals-liverpool-handed-tough-uefa-champions-league-group/) are reportedly ‘still interested’ in signing West Ham forward [Jarrod Bowen](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/08/06/liverpool-chance-of-signing-bowen/) in the future.

The Reds will continue to monitor the 24-year-old after it was [revealed last month](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-jarrod-bowen-transfer-news-21207713) that the Anfield club were admirers of the ex-Hull City man.

As the transfer window [enters its final few days](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12257542/summer-transfer-window-2021-when-does-it-open-news-dates-and-deadline-day), Liverpool have been relatively inactive in the window thus far.

According to a report from [The Athletic](https://theathletic.com/2785444/2021/08/26/divock-origis-future-is-very-much-still-up-in-the-air-though-his-place-in-liverpool-folklore-is-set-in-stone/), as cited by [Football Transfers](https://twitter.com/Transferzone00/status/1431155999826534400) on Twitter, officials from Merseyside will keep an eye on Bowen’s progress.

The report cites strength in [first-choice quartet](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/first-team) Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota, as well as backup in Takumi Minamino, as the reason behind not making a move this summer.

Meanwhile, [cult-hero Divock Origi](https://talksport.com/football/623953/liverpool-divock-origi-merseyside-derbies-forgotten-man-cult-hero/) could still leave Anfield before Tuesday’s 11:00pm deadline.

Bowen has [played every minute](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jarrod-bowen/leistungsdaten/spieler/314875) for West Ham across the opening two Premier League fixtures, backing up an [eight-goal and five assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jarrod-bowen/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/314875) laden 2020/21 campaign.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

It makes perfect sense to keep a close eye on the Englishman’s development in only his [second](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jarrod-bowen/detaillierteleistungsdaten/spieler/314875) full top-flight season.

Whilst this summer may prove to be a quiet one on the transfer front, with the [fabled front three](https://www.coachesvoice.com/premier-league-liverpool-roberto-firmino-mo-salah-sadio-mane/) of Salah, Mane and Firmino all passing 30 over the next 12 months, a reshuffle looks to be imminent.

Albeit [£27million valued](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jarrod-bowen/marktwertverlauf/spieler/314875) Bowen may not be every Kopites idea of a marquee signing, the recent [track record at Anfield](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/michael-edwards-real-story-behind-17994543) would suggest that recruitment is in very capable hands.
