# Virals: Liverpool striker Divock Origi gaining ‘plenty of interest’

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/07/16/virals-liverpool-target-saul-niguez-waiting-for-epl-offer/) striker [Divock Origi](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/07/02/virals-liverpool-striker-divock-origi-is-likely-to-stay-this-summer/) is one of a number of players potentially on the move this summer.

Reds’ boss Jurgen Klopp is expected to oversee a minor [squad](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/first-team) overhaul in order to sufficiently replenish the Anfield ranks.

The 26-year-old Belgian could be one of those sacrificed in order to raise funds after a [disappointing](https://www.sofascore.com/player/divock-origi/190399) 2020/21 campaign.

According to a report from [90min](https://readliverpoolfc.com/Host%20of%20clubs%20'monitoring'%2035-goal%20Liverpool%20star%20valued%20at%20%C2%A310.8million;%20Reds%20want%20sale), as cited by [Anfield Edition](https://twitter.com/AnfieldEdition/status/1415710493558419457) on Twitter, the frontman mightn’t be short of options as the window heats up.

The report also mentions interest from abroad in the [29-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/divock-origi/nationalmannschaft/spieler/148368/verein_id/3382) star and claims that the players ‘agents have been working hard’ in order to find a move.

Often the man for the big moment previously, Origi endured a difficult season on Merseyside last term – scoring just [once in 17 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/divock-origi/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/148368) across all competitions.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Valued at £10.8million and in the final 12 months of a deal ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/divock-origi/marktwertverlauf/spieler/148368)), this summer represents the last opportunity to land a healthy fee for the Belgian.

Although some of the aforementioned clubs interested would be unlikely to meet [demands from both club](https://www.caughtoffside.com/2021/03/15/liverpool-set-their-asking-price-for-striker-divock-origi/) and player, a hive of admirers will no doubt drive up the price somewhat.

Neverthelss, interest from Scotland is intriguing due to Steven Gerrard’s involvement at Rangers and with Odsonne Edouard [likely to leave](https://www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/news/18993336.celtic-striker-odsonne-edouard-steps-plans-leave-parkhead-first-opportunity/) Celtic.

Albeit Klopp clearly has an affection for the man he previously [hailed](https://metro.co.uk/2019/12/21/jurgen-klopp-praises-divock-origi-liverpools-unsung-heroes-club-world-cup-victory-11946880/) as ‘incredibly important’, this is surely the summer to finally sell the [UEFA Champions League final](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7005859/Divock-Origi-scored-Liverpools-biggest-goals-Jurgen-Klopp.html), semi-final and Merseyside derby hero.

A name that is well and truly written into [Liverpool folklore](https://talksport.com/football/623953/liverpool-divock-origi-merseyside-derbies-forgotten-man-cult-hero/), should Origi leave he could do so with his held firmly held high.
