# Virals: Liverpool striker Divock Origi ‘proposed’ to Inter Milan

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/01/14/virals-liverpool-have-shown-an-interest-in-fulham-starlet-fabio-carvalho/) striker [Divock Origi](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/01/10/virals-liverpool-identify-potential-replacement-for-divock-origi/) has reportedly been ‘proposed’ to Inter Milan as a possible transfer target.

The 26-year-old is currently [sidelined due to a knee problem](https://www.teamtalk.com/liverpool/klopp-gives-update-divock-origi-injury-reflects-milestone-stat) and is rapidly reaching a tipping point in his carer on Merseyside.

This isn’t the first time that the Belgian has been indexed to the Serie A giants following [interest](https://twitter.com/LFCTransferRoom/status/1352925309172129792) in a loan swoop during the 2021 January window.

Despite not being a regular starter at Anfield, Origi is revered as a [cult hero](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/divock-origi-liverpool-cult-hero-22373814) by the supporters and Jurgen Klopp alike.

However, according to a report from [FC Inter News](https://www.fcinternews.it/esclusive/fcin-linter-fa-gola-proposti-recentemente-due-centravanti-a-parametro-zero/), the underused ace could be finally on the verge of moving on.

The report claims that the [31-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/divock-origi/nationalmannschaft/spieler/148368/verein_id/3382) Belgium international ‘would aspire’ to sign for *i Nerazzurri*.

This season Origi has [scored five times and provided two assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/divock-origi/leistungsdaten/spieler/148368) in 10 appearances across all competitions.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Valued at £10.8million and under contract until the end of the season ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/divock-origi/marktwertverlauf/spieler/148368)), there can be no doubt that the UEFA Champions League final hero is fast approaching a career-defining tipping point – albeit caveated by a [reported](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1546764/Newcastle-Divock-Origi-secret-Liverpool-contract-clause-bargain-deal-Premier-League-gossip) one-year extension clause.

Origi has [netted 40 times in 167 outings](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/divock-origi/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/148368) as a Red and almost every goal has come at an all-important moment of some description.

With big games likely to lie in wait for the second half of the season, including a Champions League [clash with Inter Milan](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/simone-inzaghi-liverpool-inter-milan-22563519) themselves, it seems inconceivable that Jurgen Klopp would sanction this departure.

Likely to be called upon when fit in the absence of [Mohamed Salah](https://www.givemesport.com/1817724-mo-salah-8-times-liverpool-star-has-proved-hes-a-great-human-as-well-as-incredible-player) and Sadio Mane, the Belgian may have one final six-month-long hoorah on Merseyside yet.
