# Virals: Liverpool target Denis Zakaria can ‘leave immediately’

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/12/15/virals-journalist-claims-jahkeele-marshall-rutty-will-train-at-liverpool/) may have been handed a boost in their widely reported pursuit of Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder [Denis Zakaria](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/12/08/virals-liverpool-have-strong-interest-in-swiss-star-denis-zakaria/).

The Reds have been [extensively linked](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1534211/Liverpool-Denis-Zakaria-Jurgen-Klopp-Bundesliga-SNT) with the 25-year-old for some time and a move may well be coming to fruition as the January transfer window fast approaches.

Despite [attracting plenty of attention](https://www.90min.com/posts/denis-zakaria-attracting-premier-league-interest) from across Europe, the Anfield club appears to be among the frontrunners to land the Swiss ace.

According to a report from [SportBILD](https://sportbild.bild.de/), as cited by [Sport Witness](https://twitter.com/Sport_Witness) on Twitter, Zakaria would relish the opportunity to work under Jurgen Klopp.

The report claims that the [40-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/denis-zakaria/nationalmannschaft/spieler/334526/verein_id/3384) star can ‘leave immediately’ for just €7million (£5.9million).

So far this season the man described as [‘incredible’](https://www.planetfootball.com/quick-reads/he-reminds-me-of-kroos-seven-quotes-about-liverpool-target-denis-zakaria/) by Marcos Rose has [scored twice and provided one assist](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/denis-zakaria/leistungsdaten/spieler/334526) in 14 appearances across all competitions for the Bundesliga club.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Valued at £24.3million and out of contract at the end of the season ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/denis-zakaria/marktwertverlauf/spieler/334526)), snapping up Zakaria for the mooted fee would be a bargain buy.

Boasting an array of [impressive attributes](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/252419/Show/Denis-Zakaria), the combative Swiss midfielder would add another dimension to a well-stocked midfield department and would perhaps be viewed as a replacement for Gini Wijnaldum.

Regardless of the requirement for fresh faces in the [squad](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/first-team), the opportunity to land a talented player for the suggested price cannot be ignored.
