# Virals: Liverpool target Franck Kessie in ‘continuous’ contract negotiation

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/09/20/garth-crooks-joins-plaudits-for-liverpool-giant-james-milner/) have recently been linked with a move for AC Milan midfielder [Franck Kessie](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/09/15/virals-journalist-claims-ac-milan-could-be-happy-to-sell-franck-kessie/).

The 24-year-old Ivorian has entered the [final 12 months of a deal](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/franck-kessie/profil/spieler/294808) in Italy and is attracting major interest.

Paris Saint-Germain, Tottenham and Manchester United have all been [credited with an admiration](https://www.90min.com/posts/franck-kessie-rejects-ac-milan-contract-tottenham-liverpool-PSG-free-transfer) of the ace, with the Reds regularly mentioned as suitors.

According to [Ill Milanista](https://www.ilmilanista.it/news/milan-si-aspetta-una-mossa-di-kessie-i-contatti-con-lagente-vanno-avanti/), as cited by [Liverpool FC News](https://twitter.com/LivEchoLFC/status/1439551577140903941) on Twitter, Italian newspaper Tuttosport has reported that Milan are in constant talks with their most wanted asset.

The report claims that the interest in the [48-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/franck-kessie/nationalmannschaft/spieler/294808/verein_id/3591) star from the Premier League is ‘not a mystery’ to the Serie A club.

Kessie has only played on [three occasions](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/franck-kessie/leistungsdaten/spieler/294808) this term since recovering from a muscle problem – including a 6.50 rated UEFA Champions League display against Liverpool last week at Anfield ([Sofascore](https://www.sofascore.com/player/franck-kessie/359226)).

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Valued at £49.5million and out of contract in June 2022 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/franck-kessie/marktwertverlauf/spieler/294808)), no agreement in Italy will see a potential bargain up for grabs sooner rather than later.

The combative Ivory Coast international could well be [sold on the cheap](https://sempremilan.com/gds-liverpool-and-spurs-also-keen-as-milan-could-be-forced-to-sell-star-midfielder) in January to avoid losing another star on a free.

Boasting [impressive](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/277269/Show/Franck-Kessi%C3%A9) passing, concentration and visible physical strength, Kessie would fill the void left behind by Gini Wijnaldum this summer.
