# Virals: Liverpool target Karim Adeyemi ‘almost certain’ to leave in 2022

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/10/07/pundit-claims-liverpool-cannot-afford-mohamed-salah-contract-rift/) have been among the leading protagonists for the signing of Red Bull Salzburg forward [Karim Adeyemi](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/10/06/virals-liverpool-begin-poker-for-transfer-of-karim-adeyemi/).

The talented 18-year-old has been [touted](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10061555/Red-Bull-Salzburg-star-Karim-Adeyemi-favours-Bundesliga-despite-Liverpool-interest.html) to the Reds, as well as Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig.

Recently, [BILD Sport](https://www.bild.de/sport/startseite/sport/sport-home-15479124.bild.html), as cited by [LFC Transfer Room](https://twitter.com/LFCTransferRoom/status/1445994690768261121) on Twitter, claimed that the German Bundesliga champions are ‘favourites’ to sign Adeyemi.

Now a fresh report from German outlet [SPORT1](https://www.sport1.de/news/transfermarkt/2021/10/fc-bayern-bvb-leipzig-liverpool-wohin-passt-karim-adeyemi?) has claimed a transfer in 2022 is ‘almost certain’ for the [one-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/karim-adeyemi/nationalmannschaft/spieler/496094/verein_id/3262) starlet.

The same report suggests both Bayern and the Reds would struggle to offer the teenager the regular first-team football required, whilst Erling Haaland’s [expected departure](https://talksport.com/football/840397/erling-haaland-man-utd-solskjaer-transfer/) could make space at Dortmund.

This season the versatile attacker, hailed as ‘lightning-fast, has [scored 11 and provided two assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/karim-adeyemi/leistungsdaten/spieler/496094) in 16 appearances.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Given the level of reporting, it would certainly appear that [Liverpool are at least interested](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/media-watch/443682-karim-adeyemi-makes-transfer-admission-after-liverpool-rumours) in the exciting German.

Once a [Bayern Munich academy prospect](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/karim-adeyemi/transfers/spieler/496094), stopping the German giants from forging a reunion looks to be a difficult prospect, albeit one the Anfield club must pursue.

Capable of playing across the frontline, Adeyemi is [predominantly](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/karim-adeyemi/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/496094) a central striker possessing an [array](https://fbref.com/en/players/501055d8/Karim-Adeyemi) of strong attacking attributes.

Valued at £18million and under contract in Austria until 2024 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/karim-adeyemi/marktwertverlauf/spieler/496094)), financially this deal should prove no obstacle, the player may well just need convincing.
