# Virals: Liverpool target Raphinha reveals friendship with Roberto Firmino

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/05/27/virals-alberto-moreno-remembers-liverpool-after-europa-league-win/) have been tentatively [linked](https://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/liverpool-transfer-news-former-star-says-raphinha-can-make-the-reds-more-like-bayern-munich) with Leeds United sensation [Raphinha](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/05/06/liverpool-raphinha-leeds-interest/) in recent months after making a huge impact during a debut Premier League season.

Jurgen Klopp could indeed be in the market this summer for alternative attacking options as the German manager looks to restock a squad [ready to compete](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) with Manchester City once again.

Aware of the speculation surrounding his future, the 24-year-old winger has this week spoken out to [UOL Esporte](https://www.uol.com.br/esporte/) in Brazil, as cited by [Watch LFC](https://twitter.com/Watch_LFC/status/1397545653329403904) on Twitter, regarding links with both the Reds and arch-rivals Manchester United.

The Brazilian went on to speak of fellow compatriots Alisson Becker and Fabinho at Anfield – both stars set to [confirm their long-term futures](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/alisson-rewarded-new-liverpool-contract-24137486) on Merseyside.

Raphinha has been attracting plenty of interest with his performances this season – scoring [six goals and registering nine assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/raphinha/leistungsdaten/spieler/411295) in 30 Premier League outings.

Described as [‘spontaneous’](https://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/marcelo-bielsa-heaps-praise-on-spontaneous-leeds-winger-raphinha-1614116218000) by charismatic Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa, the [versatile forward](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/raphinha/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/411295) would certainly offer additional dimensions to Klopp’s squad.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Safe to say Raphinha hold both Liverpool and United in a [similar gravitas](https://talksport.com/football/550782/most-trophies-england-liverpool-manchester-united-european-cup-title/) as the majority of the football world.

Both clubs have a pull above any other side in the country, perhaps only [topped by Real Madrid and Barcelona](https://talksport.com/football/492769/the-30-biggest-clubs-world-football-manchester-united-liverpool-barcelona-celtic/) on the continental stage.

Should Klopp hold a genuine interest in the [£22.5million valued](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/raphinha/marktwertverlauf/spieler/411295) star, the Brazilian trio could well be linking up with the uncapped Porto Alegre born man during the break.
