# Virals: Liverpool target Renato Sanches ‘ready’ to make transfer move

Lille midfielder [Renato Sanches](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/11/18/virals-liverpool-ready-to-reignite-interest-in-renato-sanches/) has admitted to being ‘ready’ for a move away from the Ligue 1 club.

Long since [linked](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/renato-sanches-liverpool-transfer-rumours-21852764) with a move to [Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/11/22/virals-liverpool-forward-divock-origi-a-loan-option-for-epl-rivals/), the 24-year-old’s stance may have piqued the interest at Anfield as Jurgen Klopp and co consider possible January action.

The Portugal international is believed to have been [close to a move to Barcelona](https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2021/renato-sanches-confirms-he-nearly-joined-barcelona-this-summer/) during the summer before an untimely injury put pay to the switch.

Now, in a revealing interview with French outlet [L’Équipé](https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/), as cited by [Fabrizio Romano](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano) on Twitter, Sanches has confirmed a transfer mightn’t be too far away.

> Renato Sanches to L’Équipé: “Maybe AC Milan and Arsenal are interested, but I don't know. I've spoken to my agent, I know which clubs are calling me but I can't say right now. But I know I'm ready. If an offer comes in, I’ll find out what’s best for me”. 🇵🇹 [#AFC](https://twitter.com/hashtag/AFC?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) [#ACMilan](https://twitter.com/hashtag/ACMilan?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw)

The [32-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/renato-sanches/nationalmannschaft/spieler/258027/verein_id/3300) Portugal ace went on to say: “I feel ready. I understand football better, I have more experience, I know what I have to do in those.”

Having missed the early weeks of the season, Sanches has returned to feature in [eight games across all competitions](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/renato-sanches/leistungsdaten/spieler/258027) for the reigning French top-flight champions – earning an impressive [7.26 Sofascore rating](https://www.sofascore.com/player/renato-sanches/318967) in the process.

Despite the loss of Gini Wijnaldum, there was an apparent [reluctance to add midfielders in the summer](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11669/12391665/georginio-wijnaldum-liverpool-do-not-need-to-replace-midfielder-in-transfer-window-says-jurgen-klopp#:~:text=Ahead%20of%20his%20side's%20Premier,we%20would%20go%20for%20it.%22) due to the sheer numbers available to Klopp, injuries in recent weeks have left the German manager bereft of options.

Such woes may have triggered a rethink at Anfield and the [trophy-laden](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/renato-sanches/erfolge/spieler/258027) Sanches’ availability will be of great interest.
