Valued at £36million and in the final 18 months of a deal at the Bernabeu ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marco-asensio/marktwertverlauf/spieler/296622)), it’s hardly surprising to see Liverpool seeking out a potential bargain.

Already boasting a [packed trophy cabinet](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marco-asensio/erfolge/spieler/296622), Asensio certainly has the required pedigree to strengthen Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
