# Virals: Liverpool tipped to ‘battle’ for Jadon Sancho this summer

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/05/04/virals-borussia-dortmund-interested-in-alex-oxlade-chamberlain/) have been tipped to pursue Borussia Dortmund winger [Jadon Sancho](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/05/03/virals-liverpool-interest-in-jadon-sancho-sees-social-media-boom/) this summer.

The Reds are reportedly ready to ‘battle’ [Premier League rivals](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) Manchester United and Chelsea for the Englishman’s signature.

This comes from German publication [Bild](https://www.bild.de/bild-plus/sport/fussball/fussball/bvb-jadon-sancho-hat-neues-preisschild-das-sind-die-bedingungen-fuer-einen-wechs-76271184,view=conversionToLogin.bild.html), as cited by journalist [Ronan Murphy on Twitter](https://twitter.com/swearimnotpaul/status/1389467839078227968).

Dortmund were believed to be [demanding in excess of £100million](https://metro.co.uk/2020/06/30/manchester-united-respond-dortmunds-100m-valuation-jadon-sancho-12924930/) last summer when United were the main protagonists.

However, a year down the line, numerous [reports](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-united-transfers-sancho-pogba-20516721) have claimed the Bundesliga club would be willing to accept a cut-price fee – Fabrizio Romano [suggesting](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1389362783314190342) *die Schwarzgelben* could part ways for between €85/90m (£73/78m).

Sancho, a former [Manchester City youth prospect](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jadon-sancho/transfers/spieler/401173), has been a revelation in the last two seasons in Germany.

Having directly contributed to [40 goals in just 44 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jadon-sancho/leistungsdaten/spieler/401173/plus/0?saison=2019) last term, the 21-year-old has already scored [12 times and registered 18 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jadon-sancho/leistungsdaten/spieler/401173/plus/0?saison=2020) this season.

Signing Sancho ahead of direct rivals would be an incredible piece of business from Jurgen Klopp and the recruitment department.

A supremely talented performer with an [unerring ability](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/346300/Show/Jadon-Sancho) to make things happen in important areas on the pitch, the Reds would benefit immensely from having the [18-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jadon-sancho/nationalmannschaft/spieler/401173/verein_id/3299) England star in their ranks.
