# Virals: Liverpool to ‘consider offers’ for Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/01/28/virals-james-pearce-confirms-liverpool-are-closing-in-on-luis-diaz/) will reportedly ‘consider offers’ for attacking duo Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino.

This comes in the wake of a move for FC Porto winger [Luis Diaz](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/01/28/virals-fans-overjoyed-as-liverpool-pencil-in-luis-diaz-medical/) picking up a serious pace in the last 24 hours.

The Reds are believed to have [agreed on a deal](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12527003/luis-diaz-liverpool-make-late-swoop-for-porto-winger-wanted-by-tottenham) for the 25-year-old for around €45million (£37.4million) with a further €15million (£12.4million) in achievable bonuses.

According to a report from [The Athletic](https://theathletic.com/news/liverpool-to-consider-permanent-offers-for-divock-origi-and-takumi-minamino/xBkxhBCWmkYm/), as cited by [James Pearce](https://twitter.com/JamesPearceLFC/status/1487013070237052933) on Twitter, the arrival of the Colombian could open the door for a double departure.

The report claims that the duo ‘could leave’ Anfield before the deadline passes as Leeds United and Monaco watch [36-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/takumi-minamino/nationalmannschaft/spieler/165793/verein_id/3435) Japan ace Minamino.

Meanwhile, Origi has attracted interest from free-scoring Serie A side Atalanta and a [relegation-threatened](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) Newcastle United.

This season the forward’s have provided a combined [14 direct goal contributions](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/takumi-minamino/leistungsdaten/spieler/165793) across all competitions – [eight of which have come](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/divock-origi/leistungsdaten/spieler/148368) in the run to the Carabao Cup final.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

With every positive must come a caveat.

Whilst many will be [dismayed](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/divock-origi-liverpool-cult-hero-22373814) to see Origi in particular leave the club, most will admit it had been coming.

Valued at £10.8million and out of contract at the end of the season ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/divock-origi/marktwertverlauf/spieler/148368)), cashing in on the Belgian now would seem to be a wise move.

Although things haven’t quite gone to plan yet for Minamino on Merseyside, selling both at this point with four competitions to compete in and [two years left on a deal](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/takumi-minamino/marktwertverlauf/spieler/165793) would be a strange decision.

The Japanese ace also offers [additonal versatility](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/takumi-minamino/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/165793) with the option of playing in an advanced midfield role as well as across the frontline.

Also [valued at £10.8million](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/takumi-minamino/marktwertverlauf/spieler/165793), both forward’s would attract similar fees but one would surely make more sense to sell.
