# Virals: Liverpool to make ‘late push’ for Nantes ace Randal Kolo Muani

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/01/21/jurgen-klopp-lauds-outstanding-arsenal-starlet-gabriel-martinelli/) could reportedly make a ‘late push’ to sign FC Nantes striker [Randal Kolo Muani](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/01/06/virals-liverpool-interested-in-signing-fc-nantes-striker-randal-kolo-muani/).

The Reds have recently been [linked with a move](https://www.bild.de/bild-plus/sport/fussball/fussball/eintracht-frankfurt-kampf-mit-klopp-um-stuermer-angebot-fuer-verteidiger-78734068,view=conversionToLogin.bild.html) for the 23-year-old but it had appeared a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt was already in place.

However, that switch may now be off the cards, leaving the Anfield club free to act and the [Ligue 1](https://www.skysports.com/ligue-1-table) outfit in need of a sale.

According to a fresh report from [SportBILD](https://sportbild.bild.de/), as cited by [𝘼𝙣𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙙 𝙀𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩](https://twitter.com/AnfieldEffect) on Twitter, Liverpool are in the mix for the capture.

The report claims that ‘there is trouble’ with the transfer to the Bundesliga and Nantes are now ‘hoping’ the [three-cap France ace](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/randal-kolo-muani/nationalmannschaft/spieler/487969/verein_id/53860) opts to move to Merseyside.

This season Muani – often [compared](https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2021/04/16/report-southampton-and-watford-want-explosive-6m-forward-compared-to-mbappe/) to Kylian Mbappe – has [scored seven times and registered another three assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/randal-kolo-muani/leistungsdaten/spieler/487969) in 20 league outings.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Valued at £10.8million and out of contract at the end of the season ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/randal-kolo-muani/marktwertverlauf/spieler/487969)), there is certainly a deal to be done in this window for the French striker.

Having amassed [18 goal contributions](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/randal-kolo-muani/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/487969) last term, Muani is certainly a rising star whose versatility would be of great use to Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

Noted for possessing impressive pace and dribbling ([WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/333542/Show/Randal-Kolo-Muani)), Liverpool must be considering a late swoop for the likely affordable ace.
