# Virals: Liverpool ‘very interested’ in signing Karim Adeyemi

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/11/02/virals-liverpool-handed-blow-in-pursuit-of-dusan-vlahovic/) are believed to be ‘still in the running’ to sign Red Bull Salzburg starlet [Karim Adeyemi](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/10/27/virals-liverpool-have-expressed-interest-in-karim-adeyemi/).

The 19-year-old forward is among the [hottest properties](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10061555/Red-Bull-Salzburg-star-Karim-Adeyemi-favours-Bundesliga-despite-Liverpool-interest.html) in European football right now and has been attracting interest from across the continent.

Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are now believed to be the frontrunners for the [teenage sensation](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/karim-adeyemi/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/496094) and have already begun discussing finances.

That’s according to a report from [Sport1](https://www.sport1.de/news/fussball/bundesliga/2021/11/bvb-karim-adeyemi-von-salzburg-zu-borussia-dortmund-so-stehen-die-chancen) and more specifically as outlined by journalist [Patrick Berger](https://twitter.com/berger_pj)on Twitter.

The report claims Dortmund ‘definitely’ want to sign the [three-times capped](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/karim-adeyemi/nationalmannschaft/spieler/496094/verein_id/3262) German international whilst Berger admitted Liverpool remain ‘very interested’.

> Liverpool are very interested too. There are talks. But the player and his agents prefer a move to a league/campaign where he can grow best (Bundesliga is the frontrunner)

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Adeyemi is exactly the profile of player Liverpool should be targeting.

Young, talented and already [performing](https://www.sofascore.com/player/karim-adeyemi/940054) at the top level, the versatile attacker would be an ideal fit in the Anfield squad.

Valued at £18million and under contract in Austria until 2024 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/karim-adeyemi/marktwertverlauf/spieler/496094)), any of the interested parties would be landing a bargain at the mooted €35million (£29.7million).

It would appear the lure of enhanced development via immediate first-team action is attracting Adeyemi to Germany – something Jurgen Klopp would be unable to guarantee at present given the [strength](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/first-team) in forward areas.
