# Virals: Liverpool ‘very serious’ in pursuit of Real Madrid star Toni Kroos

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/01/12/virals-liverpool-still-interested-in-real-madrid-star-federico-valverde/) have been tipped to present a ‘very tempting’ offer to Real Madrid midfielder [Toni Kroos](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/12/06/virals-liverpool-interested-in-real-madrid-midfielder-toni-kroos/).

The Reds have been [tentatively linked](https://twitter.com/Plettigoal/status/1456619291600633856?t=W7gOViZtS2KHp0yZY7UOyw&s=19) with a move for the 32-year-old previously and could be set to finally make their move.

Despite now being in the twilight of an illustrious career, the German star showed Jurgen Klopp’s side his [unerring quality](https://twitter.com/UEFAcom_fr/status/1478350666183675919) in the UEFA Champions League last season.

Now a report from Spanish outlet [El Nacional](https://www.elnacional.cat/ca/esports/klopp-es-per-l-unic-que-deixaria-el-reial-madrid-i-el-liverpool-li-va-presentar-una-oferta-molt-et_692855_102.html) has claimed that the Anfield club may attempt to bring Kroos to Merseyside.

The report states that [Jurgen Klopp](https://www.givemesport.com/1751741-harvey-elliott-liverpools-jurgen-klopp-was-visibly-emotional-when-giving-injury-update) would be ‘delighted’ to work with the [106-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/toni-kroos/nationalmannschaft/spieler/31909/verein_id/3262) World Cup winner and is ‘very serious’ about the possibility.

This season Kroos – described as [‘one of the biggest talents in German football’](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/431310-jurgen-klopp-real-madrid-champions-league-press-conference) by Klopp – has earned an outstanding [7.71 Sofascore rating](https://www.sofascore.com/player/toni-kroos/26502) from 14 La Liga outings.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Valued at £22.5million and out of contract at the Bernabeu in 18 months ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/toni-kroos/marktwertverlauf/spieler/31909)), paying the mooted £25million to land the experienced ace would be a shrewd move.

Albeit the midfielder has now amassed a staggering [628 career appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/toni-kroos/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/31909) and is somewhat in the latter stages of a trophy-laden football life, Kroos is showing little sign of slowing down.

Having remained [relatively injury-free](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/toni-kroos/verletzungen/spieler/31909), the German still presents a viable option at the right price for Liverpool to bolster their midfield department.
