# Virals: Liverpool ‘willing to invest’ in Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/10/19/gary-neville-lauds-roberto-firmino-during-combined-xi-discussion/) are reportedly ‘willing to invest significant sums’ to sign Fiorentina striker [Dusan Vlahovic](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/10/09/virals-liverpool-increasingly-interested-in-dusan-vlahovic/).

The Reds have [previously been linked](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/dusan-vlahovic-goals-liverpool-fans-21141872) with the 21-year-old star and could make the Serbian their priority to bolster the attacking ranks at Anfield.

Serie A giants Juventus are believed to be in ‘in the front row’ of the pursuit as clubs from around Europe [take an interest](https://sempreinter.com/2021/10/15/dusan-vlahovics-entourage-amid-inter-interest-we-dont-talk-to-fiorentina-anymore/) in Vlahovic.

According to a report from [Tuttomercatoweb](https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/rassegna-stampa/i-tuttosport-i-juve-in-prima-fila-per-vlahovic-liverpool-e-city-permettendo-1596787), as cited by [Liverpool FC News](https://twitter.com/LivEchoLFC) on Twitter, Liverpool are ‘ready’ to swoop.

The report claims that the [12-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dusan-vlahovic/nationalmannschaft/spieler/357498/verein_id/3438) star ‘will leave’ Fiorentina either in January or next summer.

Following on from a remarkable [21 goal](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dusan-vlahovic/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/357498) league campaign in 2020/21, the frontman described by the Italian media as a [‘force of nature’](https://twitter.com/footballitalia/status/1437011823929270279) has scored [six times](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dusan-vlahovic/leistungsdaten/spieler/357498) in nine appearances this season.

Valued at £45million and under contract until 2023 in Florence ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dusan-vlahovic/marktwertverlauf/spieler/357498)), an important tipping point would appear to be on the horizon for the Serbian.

Despite possessing [different attributes](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/315369/Show/Dusan-Vlahovic) to Roberto Firmino – namely aerial prowess – Vlahovic operates [between two flying wingers](https://formation-y.com/en/formation/fiorentina.html) at Fiorentina, similar to the system employed by Jurgen Klopp.

Perhaps more of a direct goal threat than Firmino, signing the Serb could be part of the [evolution](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/liverpools-struggles-show-how-even-great-teams-need-to/anx695kjwwj714cd99qayw0z4) at Liverpool.
