# Virals: Liverpool willing to ‘splash’ cash on Jadon Sancho

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/05/01/virals-leaked-liverpool-kit-for-2021-22-campaign-gets-fans-talking/) are reportedly willing to ‘splash’ the cash on Borussia Dortmund winger [Jadon Sancho](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/02/11/liverpool-fans-sceptical-over-jadon-sancho-transfer-links/) this summer.

That’s according to Spanish outlet [Fichajes](https://www.fichajes.com/) as cited by Reds based Twitter account [The Anfield Buzz](https://twitter.com/TheAnfieldBuzz/status/1388579857592946695).

This comes as further [reports](https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/more-than-a-semi-final-on-line-for-borussia-dortmund-nqhq0l8sp) claim the Bundesliga club would accept a reduced £86million for the 21-year-old – having [demanded £100million plus](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8702783/Jadon-Sancho-humbled-100m-price-tag-Borussia-Dortmund-demanding-Manchester-United.html) last summer when Manchester United were interested.

United, who Jurgen Klopp’s side face at Old Trafford later on today, are still believed to be keen on the Englishman [described as the ‘perfect’ footballer](https://www.bundesliga.com/en/news/Bundesliga/jadon-sancho-is-the-perfect-footballer-matthaus-england-borussia-dortmund-514759.jsp) by Lothar Matthäus.

Furthermore, reputable journalist [Fabrizio Romano](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1388619790697238528) added Dortmund director Michael Zorc has confirmed that there is a ‘gentlemen’s agreement’ in place which would allow the [£90m valued](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jadon-sancho/marktwertverlauf/spieler/401173#:~:text=Dortmund.-,With%20a%20market%20value%20of%20%C2%A390.00m%2C%20Jadon%20Sancho,among%20all%20players%20born%202000.) Sancho to leave the club for the right fee.

This season the 18-cap England man has been impressive once again after a slow start, scoring [12 times and registering 18 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jadon-sancho/leistungsdaten/spieler/401173) in 34 appearances.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Signing Sancho would strengthen the [attacking ranks](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/first-team) no end at Anfield.

Although operating primarily in a similar position to Mohamed Salah, Klopp may feel both players are [versatile enough](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/108226/Show/Mohamed-Salah) to operate across different positions in the frontline.

Ultimately, Liverpool need to bolster their attacking options this summer and Sancho would be a major coup.
