# Virals: Mohamed Salah issues Premier League title call to arms

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/10/04/pundits-wax-lyrical-over-mohamed-salah-and-sadio-mane/) forward [Mohamed Salah](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/10/04/garth-crooks-makes-opinion-u-turn-on-mohamed-salah/) has issued a call to arms regarding the tilt for the Premier League title this season.

The Reds remained [unbeaten](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) in both the league and in Europe as domestic matters take a backseat for two weeks for an international break.

Despite [taking the lead twice](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yNnklW5HZU) through Sadio Mane and a wondergoal from Salah, Jurgen Klopp’s side were held 2-2 by reigning champions Manchester City.

Following the match and another mesmeric performance from the Egyptian, Salah took to [social media](https://twitter.com/MoSalah/status/1444952959381655556) to make a title vow.

Salah took his personal goal tally to [nine in nine appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mohamed-salah/leistungsdaten/spieler/148455) this season, also adding three assists to a remarkable start.

Liverpool did have a chance to return to the top of the table when Fabinho was faced with the [goal at his mercy](https://twitter.com/LFC/status/1444713026561744909?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet) late on, only to be denied by a last itch block from Rodri.

Elsewhere, NBA superstar [LeBron James](https://twitter.com/KingJames/status/1444734609552379904) and recent Reds’ investee hailed the display of the 29-year old winger on Twitter.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

As if Salah’s [early season form](https://www.sofascore.com/player/mohamed-salah/159665) wasn’t enough of a statement from the Egyptian, this is a post with intent to the rest of the league.

Already the holder of numerous individual records, Salah is clearly back on the [pursuit of trophies](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mohamed-salah/erfolge/spieler/148455) this term and there looks to be no stopping the quest.

On international duty, the [69 times capped](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mohamed-salah/nationalmannschaft/spieler/148455/verein_id/3672) ace is set to face a World Cup qualifying double-header against Libya.
