# Virals: Multiple clubs interested in Liverpool winger Harry Wilson

[Liverpool](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/07/15/james-pearce-delivers-transfer-update-as-midfield-targets-fall/) winger [Harry Wilson](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/07/13/virals-brentford-make-enquiry-for-liverpool-winger-harry-wilson/) is attracting interest from numerous clubs this summer.

The 24-year-old is expected to link back up with the Reds following a short break after [representing Wales](https://www.sofascore.com/player/harry-wilson/355528) at Euro 2020.

However, any return could be short-lived as the club look to [move fringe players on](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-sell-11-players-millions-20264292) in order to fund incomings for Jurgen Klopp.

According to a report from James Pearce for [The Athletic](https://theathletic.com/2697759/2021/07/14/liverpool-transfers-no-moves-for-saul-or-tielemans-late-summer-business-expected-as-club-target-sales/?source=emp_shared_article), as cited by [Transferchanger](https://twitter.com/TransferChanger/status/1415572035762331651) on Twitter, the Welshman isn’t short on potential suitors.

The report mentions a fee of between £12-15million would be necessary in order to land the starlet previously [described](https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/outstanding-praise-rangers-coach-just-19225305) as ‘outstanding’ by ex-Liverpool academy boss Michael Beale.

Wilson spent 2020/21 [on loan at Cardiff City](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/412231-harry-wilson-cardiff-city-loan-liverpool) in the Championship and is expected to move on permanently this time.

During that spell, the [29-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harry-wilson/nationalmannschaft/spieler/279455/verein_id/3864) ace scored [seven goals and added 12 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harry-wilson/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/279455) in 37 league outings.

### READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Valued at £15.3million and under contract until 2023 at Anfield ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harry-wilson/marktwertverlauf/spieler/279455)), Liverpool should be willing to accept anything close to that figure for a permanent sale.

Unfortunately given the [financial state of play](https://www.skysports.com/football/story-telling/11095/12241988/counting-the-cost-covids-impact-on-footballs-finances), if ever there was a summer whereby the Reds needed to be lenient on valuations it was this one.

In summers gone by Michael Edwards and co have been the masters of extracting [every possible penny from departures](https://talksport.com/football/677609/liverpool-bournemouth-bad-signings-transfers-jordon-ibe-dominic-solanke-harry-wilson/) such as Dominic Solanke, Jordan Ibe and Danny Ward, however this time they may have to take a hit or two.

Albeit a talented individual, with just [two senior appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harry-wilson/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/279455) for the club under his belt and sharing a position with Mohamed Salah, a move would be best for all parties.
